We had a lovely time thankyou ! Girls were fab, but then I would say that as they are mine. The pub was packed !
Just a shame that while we were there Mr PG got a work call and he had to drive to Somerset at 1am this morning. Managed to get his head down for two hours then dragged himself out of bed and off he went. He is on his way back no, but then has to go straight into meetings this afternoon. His new best friends are Red Bull and Pro Plus ! xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Morning
Glad to hear that Mr PG was around to hear the girls singing, not good he didn't get much of a break though. I hope he manages to catch up on sleep at some point
What are you doing for DD1's 16th? My DS1 is 16 in October and I don't know what to do, I want it to be special but not have to spend tonnes of money at the same timeHe's not as social as your DD though so I think a party would be out of the question
No idea on claiming all this money back through complaints procedures, misselling etc so won't join inbut if it's meaning you get out of debt quicker I would seriously consider setting time aside to do it.

Sorry to butt in....
When my DD was 16 (just over a year ago) we did a sleepover:eek:
On the spectrum of nerdy/geeky to popular my son is towards the geeky side and has a few close friends who think and act like him. :T
(Her doesnt have learning difficulties or anything but some people find him a bit far out - he wants to be a physicist so that explains it better:rotfl:)
My son has always been allowed to drink within reason so we agreed to allow alcohol - we told the parents first but unfortunately 1 lad (who's parents are religious) was not allowed to come.
We asked the parents how much alcohol their lads could have (bottles of WKD etc) and made sure they had only their quota.
I did pizzas and had a small buffet and left them all downstairs playing x-box and watching movies while DH and I stayed upstairs.
It went really well, I only told them once (about 3 o'clock) to keep quiet.
They had about 2 hours sleep and in the morning we did bacon sarnies.
The funniest bit was when I got up one of the lads was sweeping the floor (there wasn't much mess) and had also washed up!!! I told him he was always welcome back.
My son and his friends said it was a great party. (I was worried about gate crashers - you hear about the kids that put their parties on Facebook and everyone comes but bless them all they didn't even mention it til afterwards!)
If you don't want them to your house can you do cinema and a mcdonalds or do you have laser quest or something similar?0 -
Thanks EE my son is definitely a geek! He's always talking about quantum physics and other things which go *whoosh* over my head! He's popular as he's on sports teams etc but he's not interested in it (he probably has the right idea too lol) he went to a sleep over minus the alcohol as you just described over the holidays. They didn't get any sleept at all! I might see if he wants to do something similar and we also have a laser quest which he loves so will look into that
...I might invite your son's friends though if they clean up after themselves
as I know my son Is messy lol xxx

Lovely idea EE..that's sounds fun..luckily I have a few years before DD1 gets to that dizzy age of 16!
PG..sorry to hear Mr PG is off again but at least he's back for the birthday weekend. Your lifestyle is exhausting, I completely understand why you have a fuzzy head... I have been feeling overwhelmed myself recently, but some bad news yesterday but then 2 lots of very good news helped a lot. Feel much more positive today..let's hope it lasts!
If you can spare the time ( and £40?!) maybe get a massage, ie some time for you.
If there is anything Piq or I can do to help write the letter let us know (Piq..I haven't checked in with you but I thought you'd agree!;)) verbal advice is still advice..yes it's harder to prove but it shouldn't be impossible and it's really worth a go. I suspect a sworn statement would be the way to start...without reading up on it it's what I would start to do to get my head around the 'story' of what happened when and who said what.
Have a great weekend
