Well done to you. Hope all is OK.
Here's the full link to the train article I posted last week: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/3043499.stm0 -
Thanks. We are doing ok, I have a humdinger of a cold, lost my voice again, much to the girls delight !
Had a difficult member of the family staying for a few days, so pretty stressful.
Yesterday went Prom Dress "Looking " with DD1. She looked beautiful in all of them, I would say that, obviously, because shes mine !! The price of some of the dresses was off the scale crazy for what is about six hours of wear !:eek:
Barely set eyes on Mr PG since the Sunday before last, all he is doing is working and sleeping. Its not good for us but its good for the PG National Debt , so we are plodding along with it all for now. We are muddling through .
Work is crazy busy, I am currently working upstairs, DD1 is doing her Art Coursework in the kitchen and DD2 has a bunch of friends round for a movie. They are being good as gold singing along tot he soundtrack of the film with bowls of popcorn perched on their laps. If Mr PG were here it would be a scene of domestic bliss. Sadly he has just finished a course in London and is now heading straight to a 12 hours nightshift so we wont be setting eyes on him tonight.
Thankyou for the link. I had a little giggle to myself last week as I decided to google for the link. I cant remember what I actually typed in, probably BBC train stories or something and up popped the Link to my diary !!! :rotfl:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Well, apart from Mr. PG being on the missing list, it sounds lovely - just as soon as you start feeling better.
As for the link, I think it was a combination of 'BBC Jon trains and pink gins' that pulled it up. And yes, when searching for it today, I noticed your diary popped up.
I had over 200 pages of 'funnies' on my computer at the old job. At the moment they're in 'the Cloud' somewhere until such time I can remember the password for the email account(s) I shoved them under. There's some crackers. If I get hold of them again, I'll share.

Mrs Pg, just popping in quickly re the prom dress. My sister bought a beautiful prom dress for my niece, a wedding dress type of thing. Bought off Ebay, made in china to her exact size and shipped over. I thought it was the nicest out of all her friends. I would, I am biased!! But it was £90ish and she then sold it on ebay the next year for more!! The crazy world of ebay.
We had abit of a giggle taking the measurements though, one of them was nipple to nipple, my niece was mortified!!
Hope your cold goes quickly.

Ooh, not sure DD1 would be too enamoured with me measuring around there, but as you say ebay is a good place to look. DD1 is very tiny ( not too mention fussy ) , so we thought it would be good to try on lots of different styles, to see what looks good and in the meantime I have been in touch with various Chinese Dressmakers on Ebay . Price wise its a no brainer really !
The plan is to decide exactly on a style then get something made to order and shipped over. The dress maker locally quoted me between £150 and £300 dependent on how much bling she wanted on the dress, but she is the local Prom Dress lady and the order needed to be in by December . We werent organised enough for that. Theres plenty of time really , but it was fun to look !! xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
