Please don't take this the wrong way hachette, I know it is upsetting to lose a pet. Maxie died a year ago, but you are still insisting on going on what appears to be a crusade that is unlikely to bring you the results that you want.

As a health care professional I am extremely concerned about your well being.

Your multiple posts in the early hours of the morning (and often on unrelated accusations) worry me - are you having trouble sleeping? Have you discussed your feelings with your close family?

I would urge you to make an appointment to see your doctor to discuss the way you feel and the impact that it is having on your life.
Thank you for concern. I guess the day before yesterday was not good day for me e.i 1 year when Maxie died. However I am good today, had a reply from the insurers brokers wanting the prove of money paid to my solicitor etc. that I have provided. May be this will come soon to the end. RCVS reply will take at least 3 months. That reply is the one I am really waiting for.

So was the one in a million then

Yes he was the one in the million who had to be put down. When she is ready to talk we might employ forensic vet again.

In my experience vets do not put dogs to sleep unless it's an emergency without signed consent from the owner. I certainly had to give permission for my last very poorly dog to be pts. And £5000 isn't a huge amount when it comes to vets bills. I racked up a grand in a day just for tests without any treatment. Just because you feel your vet did a bad job doesn't mean they all do. Whatever the outcome.

That is it, no more trust in the vererinary profession.
  • Being a Vet is a hard profession. Harder, in many ways than human doctoring, and yes, sometimes things do go wrong, but most Vets do a good job and sometimes under difficult circumstances.

I am sorry for your loss.

Yes I agree. There are lots of good vets. That is why the bad once need to be punished or not in practice any more as they are giving the profession a bad name. The current law and regulations allow these bad vets to practice for over 50 years. How many of them are there now? Sending bleeding dog to its owner to die will be always remembered by me.
  • Merry christmas to everyone. Lets leave our/my situation and enjoy Christmas and the New Year :)

Sorry to come back again but to be fair I did pass on my forensic vets report to the insurers on 28th of November I know some of you said I should give them time and it is now 7th of January I am thinking that if they don't respond by Friday the 10th I should take legal action. What do you think?

    No,

You need to write formally asking for a response

Then seek proper, qualified, legal advice before proceeding

I did that in September to my ex-veterinary practice that is now being sold so I was told. Do I need to do the same to their insurers?
