Who are you waiting on? Their insurers? Guess what the answer is then .....
  • If you're now imposing a deadline (and haven't before) it still needs to be reasonable. I suggest that 28 days from you providing a requirement of a deadline is reasonable regardless that they have already sat on it for over a month.

Unfortunately, if you haven't already made a time-based demand it does put you in a weaker position. Get a deadline in now with consequences and then if they do not meet your deadline then take court action. 3 days from now is not reasonable, 2 weeks as an absolute minimum is and 4 is even better.

Sorry for your loss but I think you should focus your energy on something more positive.

Yes maybe you are right I have waited that long so give them little more time but I cannot focus on anything more positive until I bring this to the end never will until they will admit to the wrong doing

I think you've had the same advice this year that you had last year.

I did that in September to my ex-veterinary practice that is now being sold so I was told. Do I need to do the same to their insurers?

    Yes, deal with the insurers.

You really need to get legal advice. I understand you have the report but what will that get you in legal terms? I think one of your posts suggested costs would be capped at the cost of the pet and possibly the vets fees, are those costs worth the risk of not winning the case?

You really need to work out what you want to achieve (given constraints of the law as it stood at the time if the incident), then fund the best way to proceed. IMHO this will end up being a complex case which will be littered with emotion if you undertake it yourself. Seek legal advice.

You might need to be prepared for them never admitting liability or them being wrong. Especially once insurance companies start calling the shots

You've been told time and time again, that is not likely to happen. If that is all you want, then give up now.

Winning a court case that is judged that it's fair that you get your vet fees back or an out of court settlement is NOT the same as the vet admitting they did anything wrong.

And just because you paid for a forensic vet report doesn't mean that your vet's legals or insurers have to agree with it, they are entitled to pay for their own report which may contradict every point made in the report you have.
Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear

I believe that in the previous thread we eventually discovered that the OP had already sought legal advice.
As with the previous thread, if any advice is not what the OP wants to hear then it will be ignored.
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?
