The 'Always' setiing was already on so I guess I still have the same problem (not retaining wi-fi after sleeping).
I'll just have to be disciplined when roaming on wi-fi and check the symbol on the screen.0 -

Lenovo pricing seems quite competitive as I got a A2107 7" 3G dual SIM tablet for £99 in the summer from PC World. Admittedly it behaves like a dog compared to my Moto G.0 -
I wonder how this affects any future updates. The Moto G was guaranteed the update to KitKat (which we got) - but I had hoped that it's lifespan would go beyond that as it was in the Google 'fold'. I have a feeling that this has scuppered that idea.
I guess we're going to need to be vigilant going forward to ensure that any future updates don't try to add Lenovo bloat to the OS.
Apart from rooting, looks like Nexus is going to be the way to go if you want the pure Android experience.0 -

Might now give an insight as to why a Google manufactured phone had a Google Play Edition. Your thoughts may prove to be reality sadly.0 -
After I posted - I think I remember reading somewhere that the last Nexus released was planned to be the last one. But I thought that Google's ownership of Motorola might have had a bearing on that decision. Now that they've sold Motorola on, maybe they'll have a change of heart - who knows? We can always hope anyway!0

Finally found time to play with my Tesco Moto G, but it's frustrating. Still got a few days left if I decide to return it. Maybe I've been spoilt by my Samsung Europa running Android 2.1 (lol),
Can someone still on Jelly Bean confirm that USB OTG works? I'm having no luck accessing stuff on a (FAT32 formatted) memory stick. It does light up though.
Managed to transfer some test files from my Mac to the phone using Android File Transfer, but other than a couple of clips that appear in Gallery(huh?), where is the folder I created so I can check other files?
Also, I'm trying to check stuff out without providing my gmail address. Can I not at least be able to use the Chrome browser? And is accessing Google Play for some free apps to try out of the question?
I'm trying to do it over WiFi and not use any data (which I've switched off). The Wifi has connected.0 -
otg works fine on jellybean either using es file explorer or similar.0
