For those with a decent data package who like to store music and stuff on their phone the 8gb is now by far the best deal of the 2 versions. There's a total of 65gb of free cloud storage for 2 years with this phone.

They have. I was dithering between the PAYG and the sim free 16GB but the price rise of the PAYG made my choice easier.

It may be because you have only just signed up and the mins you see is part of a month not a full month.

I apologise, you are correct - the minutes allowance has reduced to 250 but the price remains £12-50. ( not a problem for me as 250 minutes is in excess of my monthly useage).

250 is still a deal with a free handset.

I have Tesco family perks free so I took extra data to bump it up to 750MB.
