Motorola Moto G 8GB £99 at Tesco BACK IN STOCK!!

Signed up for the alert for stock update and I only received an instock notice at 18:59. Seeing that, according to the earlier post on here from 1pm, it has been instock for a fair few hours one wonders why it takes Tesco so long to alert customers?
Anyhow, I have managed to finally bag the phone and hope it is as great as all have indicated! I am on Tesco Family Sim anyway so have no need for it to be unlocked. Or at least not at the moment!DEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0 -
I noticed my battery going down quicker than I'd expect, compared to my other android phones. I little searching shows that in the battery usage monitor 10% attributed to 'Mediaserver' (some users experiencing high battery usage to this) and so I uninstalled Skype, installed an earlier version and the problem went away. I seems the current version of Skype can cause this problem.
Might be useful if your battery stats show the mediaserver eating up the battery

Overall impression after a couple of days are that I'm very pleased! - I sideloaded flash (bit of tinkering to get it to install via Google Drive) and can use iplayer and flash sites in Dolphin web browser. bluetooth connects reliably to my parrot CK3000 car kit, better connectivity than my older Android phone (Moto Defy+) and performance is very good.

I've had my Moto G for a few weeks now.
I grabbed one instore. I was having a look in the fone shop and thought id ask when they were due to get them back in stock. They had the 16GB in stock :j
For those of you that are interested I just got the Kit Kat 4.4 update available notification. So you might want to check for updates.
Glad I went for the Moto G. I can get a good two days between charges. My previous phone I was lucky to get one day between charges.
Along with the Ovivo sim card I now pay £0/ month and laugh at friends with an "i" device on a £50+ / month tariff. No one believes me when I tell them I pay £0 / month for calls / texts/ data0 -
Got my KitKat update through last night. Seriously, this phone is £100 and is now running software that even high end, £500+ Android phones probably won't get for months!! Mobile bargain of the decade.0

I like the idea of ovivo but their plans are not good enough for internet allowance for me and run on Vodafone which has poor 3g here in Scotland.0 -

I currently have an iPhone 3GS and was thinking of buying a second hand iPhone 4S, would this be worth considering instead? Am guessing it's better than the 3GS but what about the 4s?
If I were to move over to android can you recommend apps that would allow the android and my wife's iPhone to synch for some activities, we currently share the same calendar, notes, reminders and photos and this works well for us so would like to be able to continue with that (even better if the apps can be used on the iPad as well). Is there an app similar to where's my iPhone on android which could track iPhone and android?0 -

The Android Device Manager is the built in phone tracking system, works well. There are a lot of third party options too.
As for sharing stuff, Google is way ahead of you really. Google Calendar has supported shared calendars since forever, and Google+ should be good for photo sharing (again built in).
I'd say it's probably better than a 4s; it's newer, has more RAM, faster CPU, bigger, higher resolution screen etc
Only downside is is camera compared to the 4s, but it's probably better than what the 3Gs you have now manages.0
