Dd delivered to cheerleading.
Food shop thoroughly rushed so could help neighbour by taking her d to sch for normal time.
Ragbag taken to bin.
Sally Army bag dropped off.
Went to do passport (2x 1m walk + 1 bus) and photo sig 'might' not be accepted. Picked up another form in case couldn't get hold of original signee.
Managed to get in touch with original signee once I was home (3 buses this time!) and arranged to go there once car is back from mot + service.
Also paid in a whopping £2 in to the bank.
Got cold waiting for buses.
Once home, spun whites wash for a 2nd time.
Opened mail - cheque from dh's mum for our trip has arrived - yay!
Coffee heated up and ready for drinking.
Now tempted to go out to signee's house on the bus and then get to the PO to check and send passport. And pay in cheque. It would get 3 big frogs dealt with, as otherwise they hang over me until Friday.
Sounds like a no-brainer! Will hang up washing, finish coffee and set out.
Aaaand, I've already broken the 10k steps barrier for today :T.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I didn't hang up the washing; I just went out. But after a long 5 mins at the bus stop, I came home again! And hung up those wet clothes.
And did a couple of emails, washed up, made more curried parsnip soup, did a workot, and sewed up limbs and ears for several bunnies.
The car was returned to us at 4, and off we went yo get the sig sorted. And we even got to the PO, and the very nice lady sorted it out and IT HAS GONE. Phew.
A busy old day, and dd is also weary. We're a right pair! Hope she gets to sleep soon - her tummy is playing her up tonight.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Ooph. Thursday is done and dusted.
Dd fell asleep early by her standards - 8.40pm.:j She left the house at 7.30am, her class did their assembly to parents, after lumch her class caught the bus to go to choir rehearsal and back. They got back later than planned and she arrived home just as I got back from work. She then changed and collated some things to play with, I made her a packed tea, and off we headed back to my work for a parents evening. The evening went really well and we were home by 7.30pm. So dd had been out of the house for about 12 hours, poor thing! No wonder she fell asleep so quickly.
Best bit of the parents eve? The first mum asked me to make her 4 bunnies!! I've given her my email so she can tell me the colours. Very excited!
Am sooo glad I'm not working tomorrow, tho poor dd has to go to school.
I wish to:
- pop up to the library
- pay in cheque from dh's mum
- work on 5 bunnies
- sew legs on to knitted doll
- knit trousers for doll
- make thumb cookies
- kondo the sheets and duvet covers and pillowcases.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Library visit - done. Got 2 Aggie Christie bks and a tome called Austerity Britain which I thought might be i teresting.
Cheque banked.
12 small bottles of water - with easy to open tops - bought for dd.
2 bks for dd bought for a whopping 35p total - for dd.
I kondo-ed my hanging wardrobe part before waking dd this morning. And went through the trouser drawer again. Also emptied the 3 small drawers in the wardrobe, and then filled them with some wools, thus freeing up floorspace. Result.
All the bed linen is now on the landing floor. It will all be matched with its duvet/ sheet/ pillow cases and then may all need a quick wash as it generally smells musty. Dd's duvet covers and sheets are in her room and we do tend to use the same 2 or 3 covers ourselves. But we have dss + his gf for a month in the summer, so need a couple more, maybe... I have the feeling that what we have may be rather past its best, but want to be sure before adding it to the 'look for' list.
We received a letter yesterday about dd's blood test results. The main one is the TTG which indicates the amount of gluten (or maybe gluten-reaction). 2 yrs ago, it was over 200 - eek - 1 year ago it was about 20 and now it is 8. Yay! And 'almost normal' - normal is 7 and under. So, cutting out poppadoms and soft ice cream in a cone (never ate the cone, but I guess the cross-contamination was at play) has worked. Phew!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Another bag dropped off at the Sally Army. Never before have I got rid of so much gubbins! It's nice to get £2 for every bag too.
Dd and I are now in Strbcks, naughty us. A smoothie and popcorn between us, so not too much. And we've toured various ch shops...
Bought a double duvet cover with 2 pillow cases for £1! Thought it was £2.50, so v chuffed. And replacement plimsoles for dd - again just £1. Some more books for the book monster - 5 for £2.80. Dd also acquired a doll - but needs to get rid of one when we get home now.
Did a mammoth workout: 300 reps of Brutality! 50 sandbag reverse lunge with twist over front knee; 50 divebomber burpee; 50 jump lunge; 50 (knee) press up; 50 sandbag sumo squat. Took just over 26 mins - an epic length for me.
Am going to keep March simple as regards exercise. Will do the same 3 workouts each week. And 350,000 steps. And 20 sugar-free and 20 grain-free days.
Most of the bed linen has been washed and is draped all around the house. I wzs able to hang some outside - first time this year - which was satisfying.
The doll's legs have been attached to the body, so he in now recognisable as a doll. Some bunny bodies have been sewn and stuffed - there are 7 at various stages of made-ness. 1 I shall undo as the body fabric is too stretchy and doesn't work. The rest of that fabric will go in the ragbag.
In fact, I need to Kondo my fabric collection soon as I know there are bits in there that do not bring me joy, and that I'll never use.
Oooh, dd has a party in 8 days - need to get a decision from her as to what to make. And then get it made.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Dd has just suggested a bunny - one of the ones already made. Result!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

.........You have a diary.
I did not know. I feel like the worst person ever!!! I never go onto the MFW boards.. but just thought I would have a look for any familiar names, and here is yours..! I am SO SORRY!!! How rude you must think me.
I have not read a thing. Just posting so you pop up and will catch up soon!! xx
A black belt only covers 2 inches of your a$$ - You have to cover the rest yourself - Royce Gracie0 -
Oh Lilt, you made me giggle!! Wonderful to have you pop by. This is a bunch of rambling witterings, really - memos to myself, what's been going on, and a little bit of money stuff too. No need to read it!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

I'm reading it! You do a LOT!!! :rotfl: you put me to shame
xx

Reading it in one sitting condenses 16 months of drivel into a short time frame, so of course I look busy!!
Yesterady I thought that most of the bed linen was washed. I was wrong, sooooo wrong. 2 more loads done today - they do include some normal stuff for washing too - which are now draped ALL around the house. Every window that can open a smidgen is open that smidgen.
One complete set for dd and one set for us so far. I know we'll be short of pillow cases as we all use 2 pillows each, but fortunately I know a ch shop that does them for 25p :T. I usually look at them for potential bunny body material, but shall view them with different eyes now.
We have a white(ish!) double duvet cover with rips, which I really like. And I've discovered a fitted bottom sheet with rips and a flat sheet with rips. Instead of adding them all to the rag bag, I may attempt to patch up the duvet cover. And try to align the differing shades of white :rotfl:. And if it all goes wrong, there is still the ragbag...
Dd had her usual wonderful dance classes. We arrived late due to a pesky care bears film, but the grin of welcome from one of the other girls was priceless for making dd feel ok. The same girl gave us her grown-out-of freestyle shoes and dd is over the moon! There is a thumb's WIDTH of space at the toe end, but they do up tightly enough and she is chuffed to bits with them. Must make them a bunny to say 'thank you'
My fabric bag(s) - only 2 mind - have been kondo-ed. Plenty for the ragbag as I'd chopped them up a lot, and a few bits for dd. Especially some stretchy yet velour-y fabric that she uses as a cape/sari/wrap around dress/royal garb.
And the box with used-but-reusable wrapping paper and bags etc decided to fall off the not-yet-installed-but-only-been-waiting-15-months-so-what's-the-rush loo bowl + cistern, so I decided to kondo that too. So satisfying! Much more then simple 'de-cluttering' ever did for me.
And finally, I'm sat on my bed with the Scot v It match on the box and fabrics out for cutting out more bunnies. Scotland are playing in red?!?! What???
Dd is playing in the back bedroom - on the same floor but in a different room, so progress and independance.
May knit a bit first, then stitch up some arms, and then cut out. Would like to jump to the latter, but really ought to finish - or at least make some progress with - the other tasks.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
