Well, that's well finished. Left the house at 7.30 and was back soon after 2pm, as a colleague gave me a lift halfway back, and my bus came quickly. Twas a decent morning, I guess.
Got there quickly as 1st bus came 10 mins early and hardly anyone was waiting at stops so we whizzed along. Then I saw that the 99p shop wa sopen, so stocked up on pombear and popcorn for dd, then grabbed a pr3t coffee before getting the next bus to work.
Dd has a great time at ballet and freestyle, and enjoyed the party. Dh survived!
Tomorrow is another full day, probably out from 9.45 until 6ish. Ugh!
Hmm, feeling a tad overwhelmed by this weekend. Shame the rugby isn't on, to distract me!
Off to wash my hair then get another old pillow down to use the stuffing. I know how to rock a saturday!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Turns out I am not kind at all... Someone else lurking on your thread is amazingly super kind
so lets see what happens!
Hope you are ok. I washed my hair at 1 and then spent from 2-3:30 with Jelly at the park. Exhausted now as is she from all the pedalling there and back. Her little friend was there too which was great as she missed her all week at nursery because she was too poorly!
Big hugs... don't forget to find some time for you xx

Thanks Lilt, am feeling better. Lunch only happened when I got home, so about 2.30, which prob hadn't helped. I now have clean hair and have sewn up 5 bunny bottoms so they just need eyes and noses, and arms ssewing up and attaching.
Need to take a packed lunch AND tea for dd tomorrow, and things tokeep her occupied when out for lunch. She's spent all afternoon since the party until tea time playing out the front with the other kiddies in the neighbourhood - all safe as each parent is keeping an ear open and the kids come and say if we're required. Can't believe I let her out fo my sight for so long now!
And you have me intrigued as to lovely lurkers!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Today's busy day has changed somewhat. Dd awoke at 6.23am. She came in with us until 7ish but was awake and coughing. So we got up soon after. Ca1po1 and breakfast and water have helped. But no Kids Klub nor lunch out, as her priority is the party!
So I've done a few more books and dh has even done some of his! Only a few are worth a few pennies, the rest'll go to the ch shop in time.
I'm wondering if dd being off colour and me being rather chesty are the result of going through old books...?
Anyhow, a wash is out on the line, dd is brushing her hair so I can trim it, I'm half dressed, and dh is researching our flights.
Have glanced through an old photo album and know I'll be able to kondo almost all. Will do that one day without company.
Am also looking forward to finishing the mariekon thread (maight be nearly 2/3 of the way through so far) and getting onto the netmms link!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Kondo-ing is bad for my bank balance. But it was so necessary and I have been very clever with my purchases for Jelly thanks to knowing precisely what she had and what she needs
I skipped the thread and went to youtube though. Do you think I should do the thread?
:j to Texas!! How exciting!!
Not sure about the bug vs books conundrum. Probably causing some issues but there are so many illnesses around it could be a mix.. xx

Seeing as you havebeen clever and bought intelligently, then your future house forgives you!
Dd was asleep by 8.30 tonight - she is coming down with a stinker of a cold and said she was very cold but she felt boiling. Gave her p1r1ton as her nose was starting to drip, and hope that a good night will help.
Am just 10 pages from finishing the thread - it's been a long read! I think that if you've discovered the joy of kondo-ing, then any thread, clips, blog will be useful. I'm a tad frustrated at having had to stop for now, midway through different bits, as I only have 1 re-bag bag for the Sally Army (and get £2 for every bagful I give them), which is currently full in the car waiting to be dropped off there. We must have another 3 bags' worth waiting in the lounge.
I have removed all my footwear from dh's wardrobe - we had 2 shelves each of the shoe rack. Except mine were the bottom 2 shelves, and dh was piling up his footwear in front of the rack so I couldn't access the bottom shelf! I shall decide what brings joy and it shall live in the bottom of my (much) smaller wardrobe instead of around the bed and under the chair. The rest will go to SA.
Can't quite believe tomorrow is work again. Couldn't do the full-time malarkey! Feel the need to apply kondo-ing to 'my' work area, especially the wooden drawers and the pile of bumf on top of the scanner. Will no doubt result in labelling some hanging files and re-placing the bumf. But I bet lots goes into recyc!
Dd is coughing a fair bit- hope she manages a good night and can go to school tomorrow!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Bless DD she doesn't sound good Hopeful that the Piri piri will help her breathe properly. For Jelly it stops it all running down the back of her throat and eventually making her sick with coughing. Wish I had found it a couple of years ago.
I don' feel like I could do full time work any more either. So much to fit in I really wonder how I ever managed it. My workspace however is absolutely spotless. I cannot work with any kind of clutter so I always make sure I enter and leave my space there paper free and organised lol. Did a lot more to get it up to scratch on friday. Silly as it sounds, my annual review is coming up. And I always seem to remove any *home* stuff and take it back with me in the couple of weeks before it every year. Just in case they sack me and I have to leave. Is that weird? I've been there 5 years.. :rotfl:
Thanks for the heads up on the thread. 10 pages.. I would be sitting there reading and readingI am going to purchase the book with some of the credit my mum gave me
Sleep tight. Hope DD is ok in the morning! xx

Ugh. Although dd fell asleep quickly, after I moved her into her own bed she was whimpering and coughing, thus keeping me awake as the internal walls are cardboard! At 11.30 I went in to her - she was still boiling hot, and brought her into our bed, so i was the squished one in the middle. After several spitting incidents (we had a bowl by the bed after the first 2!) I asked her if she wanted to sit on my lap and try to sleep - the physical contact often helps her. She agreed and by 1.45 was finally asleep. I managed to manoever some pillows and extract myself from underneath, to try to sleep on the remaining 6 inches of spare mattress!
Anyhow, dh is taking today off and I shall soon make my brekkie and trundle in to work, where I shall set up work for tomorrow and Thurs - just in case. Given her temperature, I reckon I'll need Tues off definitely. Poor mite.
But hey! I get to kondo stuff at work! And take a bag to the Sally Army! If I can stay awake ...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
No kondo-ing happening. Grrr! But have managed to set work for tomorow, and will do SA on the way home. Now got lunch duty followed by a cover foloowed by teaching. What a malarkey!!! When am I supposed to have time to kondo, eh????? (also need to actually be in the room I wish to kondo, so just to assure that I am not wasting my time on here instead of doing it, honest!)
But have acquired 3 boxes for sending books off in, so some (limited) success!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
