Brutal 300 rep workout only got to 240 brutal reps today - I was feeling feeble! But I did add on a whole 4 mins of skipping afterwards!
Now to sit and knit for an hour, with time team on the box after the submarine film ends.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Ugh. Time team.
Have you invented a new verb, how does one Kondo?0 -
Hello Al, time team not your cup of tea then??! Amazingly, it was one I hadn't seen before!
To Kondo: probably best to read this: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5146700
It's worth the (mahooosive) effort. I've not read the book, just this thread, and looked at a few yoootoob videos. It is not simply decluttering, it is revolutionary! Although the phrase 'she's mad as a box of frogs' crops up, somehow what the author has written has struck a chord with so many people. Me included. It's hard to verbalise it, especially not having read the book, and not doing things in the 'correct' order. But it's fine, and is producing a wonderful lightening effect in my life! I'd recommend it!
Cor, bet that sounds weird!
In other news, dd has fallen asleep on the sofa and missed the end of star trek - little philistine! Must put her to bed... (this is the child who is rarely asleep before 9pm!)NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Ooh, I really want to read that book... thanks for the heads up on the threads (& also videos!)
Time team & knitting sounds like utter bliss :smileyheaa penny picker upper. Ooh you have just made me realise, I can buy the book guilt free!!
Am so sorry to hear about DD, but hey... 2 entire evenings to yourself MUST be nice!! The sleeping in contorted positions to be close and having very little covers etc has been happening here recently too. Nice to be wanted but it doesn't half ache in the morning so no wonder you feel feeble! Lack of sleep too.
I have had loads of fab news today, one thing concerning you so am a very chuffed bunny. I love people I do.
Much love and hugs. I love Time Team!! xxx

Dd slept for 13 hours last night - wow! And I probably did 10+ myself. Yes, there was still quite a lot of coughing, but less than the previous night.
She doesn't want to go to dance, and I don't blame her, as it does require a lot of energy. We may well manage to get to drop another bag off at SA when we drop dh off, and then hit a certain coffee shop. He's doing PA for an Open Mic event at church - it starts at 7.30, but he needs to be there from 1ish!
Mum emailed to say she's had a migraine and can't come down. Shame as it's mother's day and we were looking forward to some time together. But she'll be wiped out for several days and just needs to stay in her own home.
For anyone reading the kondo thread, post 46 gives the links to mumsnet threads, which I'm also reading through, as I think it should give ideas on what todo with kiddie gubbins.
Dh couldn't believe I'd gone through my photo albums and got rid of most of them. I replied that I've not looked at them in over 12 years, and have taken out the ones I want to keep. I then took all the others out to put in recyc, as I couldn't throw away perfectly usable albums, and the ch shop maymake some pennies from them. I'm gutted that I have to bin one as I put a massive sticker on it from the 1991 world student games in Sheffield, and can't get it off!
And he can't u derstand why I'm not bothered about keeping my very old stamp album with nothing of value in it!
I did my socks a while ago, but in between the colours and whites was a loads of gubbins which bugs me every time I open the drawer. No joy there! Yesterday I put it all on the bed. Anyone else need three heart rate monitors, 2 without their corresponding watches?? Therest of the pile is sitting on top of the drawers for now...
I took 5 bunnies to work for a mum on Thurs and she loves them - yay! Will be paid on Mon, so am inching a little closer to the 1000 target for the year.
Still not cut out or sewn any more for a few days - need to ensure the colour combinations spark joy! If not, then into the rag bag they can go...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

:rotfl: Oh Alchemilla! No need to apologise! I don't like red wine. Or tea. Or soaps (on telly, not the washing sort...)
But I do love a good international game of rugger, and given that I m writing this from strbcks while dd sticks stickers in her barbee book, we'd best shake a tailfeather to get back in timefor the start...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
1 match more or less watched. I usually miss the 2nd one as it's when dd eats, and she wants tiny pop on. But today I fed her about 10 mins early, she soon finished (1/4 pizza w mozarella + olive oil, a little jelly and 3 randoms -a feast cfed with recent 'meals') and went to the loo, so I changed channel!
Ch shop bargains are all dd related: 4 rbow magic book + 1 3-story RM bk, a dora bk, a felicity wishes bk, a barb1e doll w extra clothes and a man doll that dd says is John Smith from pocahontas. She 'needs' man dolls to marry her dolls! And a 50p g-f cookbook that has several recipes I think I may use! Total spend: £9.30.
We dropped a bag off in SA where I bought dd a gorgeous HK pair of jamas with credit. She went straight to the toy section and came running back to tell me that they were selling her toys - she was thrilled to bits!
4 more bunnies are cut outand ironed. The SA bag is full again, with another bagful in the boot.
Someone is coming round with her daughter tonight to try on some tap shoes I'm selling - a few more pennies!
IF dd gets to sleep quickly again, I shall look at boxing up some books for another site, and run them throuh amzn, just in case.
Dd is snuggled up next to me reading 1 of her books - already on p146! Her bouncy hopper is being sadly neglected as she has so little energy left for bouncing once things like breathing and sitting are factored in! I shall insist on a quiet day tomorrow, as on Mon she has a big concert to perform in after a day at school.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Ooh, just checked the cookbook I bought and I can get 91p for it on amzn. Dilemma over 41p extra! Will have another look through it, photocopy any recipes I WILL use, then let it go. Maybe...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
