Glad you are getting your DH home.0

Me too, Alchemilla! It's helped me realise which stuff he does that I'd have absolutely no clue about doing if I suddenly had to take over! Hmm - that sounds rather sobering. But I have also realised that dd and I potter along together very well and deal with unexpected stuff quite well together.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

And so begins another week.
Only 3 working days, 1 parents evening, 1 hospital appointment until half term.
Dh offered to take dd to school, so she gets another hour to sleep and I get a peaceful start to my day and get in to work early.
Already 1/3 of the way through Feb, 40 days into the year, where did it goooooo?!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Doing a happy dance as I now have my icon
!
Dh is almost ovrr his jetlag, but we are both finding it hard to string a coheremt semtence together in the evenings! I'm sure I'm fighting off dd's stinker of a cold, and 4 days of no sugar has helped. I am simply weary!
After the end of work, I had 1 1/4 hours before a parents evenimg, so I went for a 45 minute walk. I wss eyeing up patches of grass, to go and have a little lie down on! I'll not last long tonight...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Tis nice to be sitting down reading mse!
Took dd to cheerleading for 8am, then did the week's shop. All on foot as I forgot my oyster card - oops. But it was only £22. Still heavy enough, though, especially the last 1/2 mile.
Then a workout - 12 min amrap: 10 weighted squat jumps (used 10k of weight) + 10 breakdance push up (start in crab position, twist round, keeping 1 hand and 1 foot on floor, until in push up plank, and do a pish up) + 10 weighted squat + 10 leg and butt lift. I managed 4 rounds and 5 jump squats, so not too shabby!
Then back to pick up dd at 10ish to get the bus to the hosp. The admin person mucked up our booking in so we were pretty late getting in to see the consultant. And it was comsequently rather a rushed meeting. But we also discovered the nutritionist appointment hadn't been made and were able to arrange one, got the iron meds I wanted from the hospital pharmacy, had our lunch in the concourse bit while the prescription was processing (the c0sta coffees were like sirens! If it weren't for my kidneys making their presence obvious recently, I'd have had one), got dd her usual pkt of randoms and ran for the bus. I got her back to school for 2pm, only to collect her again an hour later!
I had decided to do Jack's veggie burgers with salad for tea, and also made some of her cookies. Great recipes!
I do not feel like I've had a day off work!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Half term is upon us! Dh has taken several days off and we trundled round some ch shops this morning, and had a frivolous sbucks filter coffee each! Found 2 pairs of linen trousers for work, some hk leggings for dd to grow into.
The cold rain arrived for the school run, but at least we have a warm house to return to. Dd had a little friend round to play for a couple of hours, and I was able to potter on with some stuffing and sewing, so feel that the bunnies are coming along at last.
Tomorrow the rugby is on again :j. I'll take dd to buy an earned magazine, return some library books, and get some more bear yoyo thingies. Thereafter, the telly is all mine...!!!
Have thus far managed to average 10k steps per day. Next week will be harder as we'll mooch around, no doubt.
Exercise and NSD tallies are pottering on ok. Eating is not going so well! Even though every time I ingest sugar or grains I then feel 'not right' I am u able to keep off them for more than 4 or 5 days in a row - grrr.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
£50 out in cash yesterday. £21 in 1ce1and; £4 onthe promised magazine for dd; £7.50 in sains(nec stuff); £4 in coffee shop; £10 onto my oyster. And is is practically gone! Oops.
Dd is happily playing out, dh has james bond on telly. I shall sneak upstairs soon for the rugby, with my knitting and sewing.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Happy half term.x0

Thanks Alchemilla! Dh has taken 3 days off so we shall have him under our feet for some of it!
Am determined to have another NSD today... Those bits do all add up to a lot...
Dd chose not to go to Kids Klub, which was a good choice as she was v pale. She has since perked up, and should be fine and bouncy for this afternoon's party. She wants me to stay, so I sincerely hope it's not a loud in-your-face-disco sort (but I think it might be, as it is in a rugby club...).
Got cheese scones and fairy cakes all done by 9am, as dd came into bed with us at 6.45, which is surprisingly early for her. Made yummy pancakes for brekky (eggs, cott ch, cinnamon, gr almond and some oats) with cream cheese in between them, and some sort of syrup on them, as I had no frozen berries!!
Have caught myself spending unnecessary amounts on 'treats' for dd recently. The child must have at least 25 puddings available. And that doesn't include the 11 cakes from this morning! Must ensure I don't help consume them...
I have also done a workout and am now worn out, but clean and hairwashed. Must dye it before returning to school - will pay the extra to get non-permanent as it seems to make the contrast less obvious after a few weeks of growth. And I may, perhaps, possibly return to natural over the summer... A shorter cut maybe... Gulp.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
The party was rather a loud one! But dd enjoyed it.
Completed 4 bunnies before we went, which makes me feel good. Another 5 are cut out and some bits are sewn and stuffed, so it would be good to crack on with them tomorrow.
Have someone coming to collect a Junior Scrabble set we are selling, so a few more pennies inthe pot.
We are definitely off to Texas at Easter as it'll be far too hot in the summer. Dd needs a passport - oopsie! We'll stay with dh's mum for a few days - the point of the visit - and also have a few days in a self-catering place. Dh's mum lives in the back of beyond, in the middle of nowhere, along with half a dozen other dwellings. Rockin'! I reckon dd'll be mega bored, hence the few days elsewhere to sweeten it all up!
Shhh - I have now opened our bedroom window a crack, so as to get some fresh air in. Shouldn't need to close it long-term until November. But best not tell dh as he'll only go and close it!!!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
