Wash #1 is on; 2 more to do... Dd was very sick. In our bed. And all over herself. How does that much 'stuff' come out of such a little body?? She is bathed and dressed warmly and has a bed on the sofa downstairs with her duvet (fresh cover). Hope she drops off for a bit, but not holding my breath!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Wash #2 is one; 3 more to do! Yep, another sick session all over herself and her duvet. And the floor! Hope that's all of it out now!
And dd is now asleep - will do her the world of good.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
The sleep helped. Dd woke up, requested some iced water, drank some and then went back to sleep. The next awakening, she stayed awake longer, but is clearly struggling. She is hot yet shivery. But at least she is drinking - and the water has stayed down this time.
And I am having a simple day! Apart from washing 2 duvets + covers + clothes. All the towels will have to wait - there is no more space to dry things!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
The poorliness continues. We have just returned from a trip to a&e. All v glad to be home. Especially dh: he went out to check a video link for 8am; once home he did the tip trip with garden waste; after lunch he went into town to get some bits he needed and bits for dd's party; on his return we went to an out-of-hours gp sort of place, who told us to go to a&e.
So, dd has not eaten for 2 days but itis more the re/dehydration side that we need to keep an eye on. She likes diarolyte, but too much at once causes her to bring it all back up. A fine line to find!
Well, tea is reheated chicken in sauce and ice1and chips. Then off to bed for dd and me!
No money news - nowt spent, no DDs gone out (all done and dusted by now), so it's a case of 'see how much is still there at the end of Jan'.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Thank you MWC.
Dd still v poorly. Sick again at 3.30am?! So a middle-of-the-night bath, clothes change and bed linen and duvet change. Am so glad we have so many duvet combinations. And towels. And clothes.
She is taking water but not the diarolyte - I can only get her to lick the end of the syringe! Am waiting to see if the 8.15 water stays down. She is starting to moan again about tummy pains, so not looking good... But so far it is only the V part of D and V, phew.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Thank you both! And thank goodness for the NHS.
Dd was very poorly all morning, dry retching and moaning about tummy pain. I ended up calling emergency services as dd sicked up some blood (and dh was at church so I couldn't get her to hospital). Seems to 'only' have been from her throat, not stomach or gut. Anyhow, practically the same crew on duty in a&e, so no need to give them the background. Eventually home by 5pm ish. She's had a viral tummy bug and the Xray showed her bowels full of poo, so laxative given to try to ease that out. Dd was also sick in hosp - got 99% of it in the cardboard bowl - well done dd!! She is now sleeping with occasional wakings. Hopefully mending as tummy pains are less.
And I have to go to work tomorrow as I'm conducting some gcse speaking tests as part of their mocks! Dh is taking a day en lieu and I'll arrange for Tuesday off.
Dd has been so brave and stoical. But has declared today as 'the worst day in her life'. Poor mite.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
