Hi greent - I'm not a connoisseur (oh dear, oh dear, the French teacher in me sooooo wants to make the adjective agree and turn into conoisseuse!), but it tastes fine to me! This was from a bottle we bought a 'while' ago for my mum but she visitedon the train so didn't take it back. And I usually avoid alcohol, but now we've opened it - and I've had a grand total of 2 drinks from it! - it needs using up. So I reckon it'll be my white choc fudge recipe with a good glug added in.
I claim another NSD. But tomorrow i shall need to get eggs and milk. It'll have to be from ice1and on the way back from work - at over 10% more than aldee, grrr. But better that than going without.
Sitting here, it is hard to get my head around the whole 'return to school' thingy for tomorrow. I've made cheese scones, put a loaf in the breadmaker and am trying to find something else to do to procrastinate a little more...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
dh: we are running low on veg. There isn't any.
me: hmmm. Yep, just that cabbage and 2 small squashes. Any sweet potatoes?
dh: nope, just a few onions.
So, we are well and truly short of veg! None in the freezer either. Now, I'd just make squash soup and boil up and fry off the cabbage, but dh feels in need of MORE VEGGIES. A rare moment indeed.

Do you keep the bottle in the dark cupboard, or is that where you go to drink it?!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

:rotfl::rotfl: I now have visions of fellow MFW-ers picturing me hiding in the under the stairs cupboard in the dark, swigging Baileys from the bottle! :rotfl::rotfl:I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -

A stressful day today, the likes of which I haven't had in aaaages. So when I got home I went straight into ZCUT #3: 10 mins of: 10 burpee with tuck jump; 10 mule/pike kick; 20 crab toe touch; 10 ab splitter (V-up + split floor touch + knee hug). Only finished 2 rounds!
So, my 'to-do' list is at over 40 items,, all connected with work. Didn't get a chance to rationalise them into when I could/should get them done. THat's a job for tomorrow!!!
Anyhow, got a much-needed little food shop done on the way home - at 100 mph! 2x milk (as icyland have it down to 89p, the same as aldee), 6 eggs, broccoli, pom bears (just £1), petits pois, and 4k potatoes. All for £8 something. And tea is mash and yesterday's gammon, and broccoli.
Was extremely tempted to eat gf flapjack at work. But then remembered the TUBi loser challenge I've joined and questioned myself about how hungry I really was. And resistance was easy! :T
Sitting down time is over. Time to see to dd!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
A much better day today - phew!
And tomorrow is a day off - yay! So plenty of shopping and out-and-aboutness to be done.
Last week I got a 3 off 20 voucher for Sains which I almost binned. However, I am out of gf flour - prob need 2 packs - and white vinegar. Add in the right smoothies and hair dye, and I'm probably nearly there.
But tomorrow's big task is to clear the dining table - dd and dh would both be astounded if I managed that!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Have done a super heavy aldee shop that included things for dd's party and flowers. The actual shop bit was around £33, so pretty good. Once unpacked, I headed back ip to sains where I had to work hard to reach £20. But reach it I did, of course!
Hair dye was duly bought and applied so I feel younger.
I've started knitting a dolly for dd. If all goes well, i may manage to finish it for her bday... Owl #2 is still missing a wing...
The table didn't get cleared, although I have removed the sewimg machine and boxes of thread :T.
ZCUT #4 got done: 5x 20/10 of: burpee; press up; jump lunge; roll up sit up; sumo squat jump. And I have walked about 16k steps, amd 75 floors so far too.
Brain is startimg to switch off. Best go before utter gibberish starts appearimg...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
It was after 10pm when dd finally got to sleep last night - ugh! And then she was awake at 5.33am. Double ugh! She has a tummy ache and temperature, so I'm keeping her off school. Fortunately all the running around got done on Weds and today was going to be a tidying and knitting day, so we can stay indoors.
Today's aspirational list:
- wash up
- clean draining board and sink
- clean breadmaker
- tidy table
- knit dolly
- 30 mins of work (if I must!)
- make pumpkin soup
- make cheese scones
- and look after a poorly one who doesn't know what to do with herself.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
