Palliative care. Morphine. Making mum as comfy as possible. Telling her how much we love her.

Bil has also come down, to be with sis. They're staying at a BnB. I'm in the room next to mum's. I slept very badly last night, so am expecting better of my body tonight...

I've done some hand washing, as I'll stay until sat. In theory. Depends on mum, really. Pip is being a star and managing well without me around. Phew.

Thinking of you all. Sounds like all the important things are in place and good to read Pip coping with your absence too.

Thinking of you, apple.  I hope the room you're kipping in has a bed you can use.  I hope you can get hold of hot drinks and some nourishing food.  And that your mum is comfortable, and knows that you and sis and BiL are all there.

We're being well looked after. I had an hour's kip yesterday afternoon, didn't think I'd sleep what with all the usual hustle and bustle, but I was out like a light.

There was an enormous blip yesterday morning which resulted in some major tellings off. So all the staff are now doubly informed and on pain of death should anything happen.

Just asked for more morphine as the tension is creeping in on mum's face. Time for the driver to be inserted as it's her fourth dose. At least we don't have to worry about addiction!

Mum has died, very peacefully, with grace and dignity. It was her final gift to us.

It was a blessing then.  Condolences on your loss, take some family time, and it is perfectly okay not to be wailing and gnashing your teeth.  We all grieve in different ways, talking helps, remember fun times, let the admin slide. It will keep.
