Today I have had cake. Lots of cake. Yum!

Mum is still with us. I went up on Sunday and spent several hours with her and big sis. Big sis is rightly extremely emotional and wants mum to go out with love. I agree!

Back home and life is on autopilot. I'm glad I've gotten into pretty good habits.

Invigilating is the way to go for me. And the school is so lovely - people I don't know will come and sit with me at lunch (free and good quality) and chat with me. The pupils are a delight! I'm just fed up with using my non-working days to do my own school stuff. Sigh. However, I have just 14 days left at work. Yay!

Pip is in the middle of end of year exams and is only just holding it together.

Stressful for you *and* your sister.  And Pip has their own stress, from the exams.  14 days ... that's it, for you.  Autopilot is good on these occasions, I should do that myself.

  Oh apple!  to applemum, apple sister and of course to you, pip, and Mr apple,.  It is good that you have seen her. 

So glad you are enjoying the invigilating,  for me it  is the people  that make or destroy a job. You do not need that nonsense in your life, and seeing other places may open other doors.

To quote the evil Red and White company - the holidays are coming! It should be the teachers' anthem.

So sorry to hear about your Mum, apple. But at least the end is in sight for your current work, and that will give you a bit more  mental/emotional bandwidth!

Thank you everyone. It's a waiting game now.

Today has been a good day. No urgent/important school stuff hanging over me.

I gave pip an extra hour of sleep and took them to school for 9, then nipped to liddle and on to the gym. Twas an excellent sesh followed by a visit to a ch shop and £land where I got some jean shorts, an exercise top, a top for work, a lovely thin loose jumper and a cashmere jumper (only £3.25!!!). Pip doesn't like the feel of the jumper, so I'll make something from it. At some point...

I've also needle felted 6 gnome bodies and they all have coats on.

Im  not at work tomorrow either so am hoping to do a little tidying up and finish the gnomes, make another couple of mushrooms. Possibly mow and / or weed. Definitely go to the gym.

I have enjoyed myself again! Such frivolity! And pip has finished their end of year exams. Phew.

I have done the school run, the tip, liddle, the gym, school again as pip had forgotten their script, lunch, needlefelting. I think I may stick with no mow May, at this rate!!!

Mum has perked up tremendously and is now back in the lounge with the other residents. She's not weight-bearing, but was happy to be with other people. So it seems like she is more than hanging in there!
