Pip has spent the day in bed! Totally needed. Dh has finished his extra work and is hoping for an easy few days...
I really underestimated the time I needed to get my head around the Portuguese GCSE orals!!!! However, I do feel better prepared for them now. And I found out from reading the morning's briefing notes that there is an extra candidate that I'll have to examine too. Just as well I read the notes, eh?
I have also read through the new spec that'll come into play for teaching from Sept 2024. It all makes sense and I'll need to know and understand it as I want to continue marking it!

Pip went to school on Tues. Tired, but ok. Then last night, came to me at 4am with ear pain. We've noticed that with the autism, they don't 'feel' pain until it is excruciating. So we've been to the dr this morning who diagnosed an angry red inside ear, and pip will have antibiotics by this afternoon. They have rarely ever taken them so I'm hoping they will be effective and fast.
Knowing pip was in no shape for school, I got up at the usual time (6.03, ugh) and took myself to the gym where I did a good hard session. It sets me up for the day.
I am now procrastinating and avoiding the big list of work things to do that I wrote yesterday. Nowt new there, then!
Step dd2 + her family are also coming over to the UK this summer in August, as well as step ds + his family. So we'll get to see the three new grandkids - yay!!!

Pip and dh went off to town (no dance in the middle of the day meant that Pip could do something nice) and I went to the gym for a hard sesh. And it was hard!!! And I loved it. Then did 100 burpees (EMOM for 40 secs) which took about 19 mins. Then I opted out of walking home, but did trot down the hill for about a mile (it's a long hill!)
    Now to plan May...

April is done and dusted. I only worked for 2 days of it 🤣🤣. And that was more than enough!
I bought myself some new nix and sports bras, all of which are being well used. I have built up my gym visits/ exercise sessions from 3x tabata (20 secs work + 10 secs rest) to 8x. I've also increased the weight or the difficulty. In total, I cycled through the 3 workouts 8 times 🏋️🏋️🏋️🏋️🏋️🏋️🏋️🏋️.
Pip had an Easter break of highs and lows and has missed 4 of a possible 8 days since going back to school! Pesky ear infection. I'm glad the next two weeks are only 4 days each for them.
    What does May hold?
Bank hols and half term account for 7 days.
I'm working 9 days, including one for the orals.
I'm not working therefore for 22 days 😀
But I do have 5 invig sessions over 3 different days.
I have 2 hwk club duties and 1 parents evening.
1 birthday of my own and 2 of family members.
The start of my first component for exam board marking

I really do need to lose some blubber so am going sugar free for the month. I may also try IF more frequently than I do.
    We need several tip trips.
Crafting has to happen. I think my crafting bug has started to return, which is good. Pip needs to earn some money so I've suggested that they needlefelt some bits and I'll sell them at my school fair.

I like that concept of looking at what work there is over the next month, at the same time as the social elements that are important.  As well as keeping an eye on the money, it just makes for a more rounded life.  I'm still working on that, to be fair!  Have a lovely bank holiday, anyway.

I have a busy week ahead. To be tackled one day at a time.
But I started off with a super lazy day today which included a happy couple of hours needlefelting with Pip.
