Well done Starlight! Not heard owt from head. Surprised? Nope. Dep head has been told and sent me a message saying she's delighted for me but sad for the school.Woke up this morning with my finger really aching. The middle knuckle on my right middle finger frequently locks up and I need to re-bend the finger with a big clunk. This morning it simple ached and ached and was very tender. Not particularly swollen though. And I have no idea how it happened. Hmmm. Maybe in my sleep my middle finger was thinking about my work...But I still went to the gym and did a bodyweight hard workout 😎.And had fun in liddle with two boxes 😆.I've now taped my 3rd and 4th fingers together so as to limit its range of movement.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

Sorry to hear about your finger! Strapping is a good idea - though it sounds like its a "historic" injury? Good luck with it.2023: the year I get to buy a car1 -
Still nowt from my Head... Not worth me wasting energy in being annoyed! Nor at dep head asking me to provide work for my french teaching colleague who is signed off for the week... On a day I don't work. She even asked the colleague for work - colleague is SIGNED OFF, and shouldn't be being contacted. Sigh. Just serves to confirm my letter is the right thing to do.Have seen big sis over the last two days, all very relaxed and lovely.Pip was back at school, did all day plus going to a youth group that only has funding until the end of the month.Dh has had an eye op (a trab) on his 'good' eye. It needs to be successful... He got the bus home, daft bu&&er!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

There was a letter from my head in my pigeon hole, so all good there.Manic day at work yesterday. Colleague is signed off, so I 'offered' in writing, to prep work for her classes. Got a reply, in writing, saying yes please. So I did. Twas a busy morning, but worth it.Dh was basically told off by the doc! The eye pressure is stupidly wrong so he needs to do very very little. I'm planning for him to stay in bed and watch TV all day!And today, we have snow!!! Proper snow. Layering the branches snow. Still falling from the sky snow. I love snow 🥰.One last thing. Contrary to all my recent mutterings, I did talk with the dep head about maybe possibly considering teaching the littles next year. Reception to y6. But I'd want it specifically in writing and guaranteed specific days...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

Make that 'guaranteed specific day'. A weds. Though I don't think anything will come of it.Didn't sleep well last night due to all sorts of school stuff going around my head. Sigh. Reports of varying detail are due in by today. Colleague and I had messaged each other about who would do what. Guess wot? None of hers are done. So I have put in any data I can for the groups who I see once a fortnight...I have marked ALL the y11 papers and the A level ones. I have done ALL the reports for those kiddies, plus a full report for y10s - why now for y10? They've not done any recent tests...Plus I've marked the Portuguese papers today. The pupil has been a pain to pin down to do her tests. Grr. But I got them all done and she has a grade 7 overall. Not what you want from a native speaker. Except she is a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker so the listening was hard for her... And maybe I marked harshly. Or leniently. Who knows!!!Also done some paperwork for the breakfast I'm organising. And the trip I'm organising.Bah, humbug to spending my days off doing all this...However, most importantly, I've been to the gym and done a hard but fun class.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

And you did it, and soon, they will not have you there to pull their a**e out of the fire, as The Smurfs sang 'la la la la la la!'.This is exactly why you are going. This is reinforcing why you are going. You rock, they suck!!! But we knew that anyway. Aren't you glad you are not a newly qualified teacher, coming in to all this?Embrace the chaos, because it cannot affect nor effect you. You know where you are going.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Totally agree with you, f0xh0les. You're spot on.I break up on July 5th, so less than 4 months left. 120 days. 4 weeks are hols (not including the big summer ones). 6 teaching weeks plus tomorrow until the GCSEs start. A max of 7 lessons left with my y11 lovelies. Then 6 1/2 weeks until I break up. Any which way I look at it, that light is getting brighter!Dh has just sauntered in to the bedroom and casually mentioned that he's paid the mortgage off 🤣🤣🤣. Finally! That's a huge £10 per month we'll be keeping in our account now...🤣🤣🤣.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!7
