Yesterday was a grand day out. We all went down to Brighton for the afternoon, followed by a Cavetown concert at the Dome. We simply followed pip as we went along the Laines, into a variety of their choice of shop. It was fab! And pip was thrilled by the choices available and all the mooching. Then on to the concert (so glad we had seats and weren't in the pit 😂) which was simply amaaaazing. I needed the ear defenders for the 2 supporting acts, but Cavetown was more melodic. I sent pip with my card on the merch hunt, which was a massive adventure for them. So, overall, a rather spendy day, but an absolutely fabulous one! We got home around 1am and I think it's safe to say I'll be taking it easy today! Pip is meeting a friend in town this afternoon (utter madness!!!!!), so a bit of chauffeuring ahead and lots of tlc for pip.

It was truly a wonderful day, karma!

Pip had a lovely time out today with their friend and when I picked them up, I got to have a long chat with friend's mum, which hasn't happened in a while, so was good to do.

I managed to do a workout while pip was out, at home. Keeps my streak going!

An early start today - for the hols, anyway - as pip had an orthodontist appt. Good news - they now only need to wear them at night. Yay!

And suddenly, the break is over! It's been a very nice time off, pottering around, not doing very much. I haven't done all my prep for the half term, couldn't be bovvered. But Tues is ready, cos I'm in work doing orals tomorrow, so won't have time in the day.

Just had a fab chat with pip about what they'd wear to sixth form, their ideal job and work ethic, house sharing....

Ooph. Mondays, eh?

I got through all my French orals this morning - and the kiddies did much better than they did back in November. yay! The Portuguese pupil was absent so I got to come home early. Yay! Though I'll have to 'fit her in' another day, sigh.

Pip was supposed to be out at a club this afternoon/evening, but it got cancelled, so I don't have to go out again, which is lovely. But disappointing for Pip.

So now we can only buy 3 lettuces, tomatoes and cucumbers at a time, eh? Well, they're flippin' out of season, force grown for this time of year. And pretty tasteless too. Let's apply some common sense to the situation...
