Pip went to school today. Yay!!! And phew!!!

I then nipped to sainz and aldee, back to the car, round to the dr (carry on with happy pills; send off a toe nail clipping ), home to put the shopping away, hang up the washing, go to the dentist (all clear - phew), then up to the gym (good session), home to put a second load of laundry on, wash myself, prep lunch, be in for a friend to drop off their laptop for dh to look at, eat lunch hang up second load, watch Father Brown while inputting receipts form the last 10 weeks (oops), collect pip, feed pip, sit down.

Ta da!

But, oh dearie me! The food bill is big. Too big. Scarily big. Has been for about the last 3+ months. And I'm pretty sure it doesn't include everything that dh bought online (0cad0, for example). Yes, the rise in prices hasn't helped, but I'm going to have to find ways to eat much more cheaply for us adults. Not gonna risk messing with pips food... .

So, let's see how it goes in Feb. Liddle's f+v boxes will be a good start. I can ensure I get 4 portions out of things I now get three out of. I can easily make my own oatcakes. I need a plan! Whatever I do, it has to be sustainable.

Today I heard from the invig job people again, so it seems that finally, the ball is rolling along once more. I only had the interview nearly 7weeks ago 😂.

So far, so good...

Dc went to school, I went to counselling and dh was at work from early on. Dh is meeting with a pensions IFA as I type, so we'll hopefully have a much clearer idea of our finances soon.

I'm having my first feb NSD and have done a gym session and some tidying up!!! I finally ripped apart last year's school planner for recyc. If I can be consistent with this, it'll make a massive difference quite quickly.

Mulling over the tutoring thing again. Someone at work asked me if I do  it as she wants to learn French, so I should follow that up. I've no idea what to charge though...

Some interwebulator research is needed, methinks.  For "a bit of extra", that's going to be a fantastic hourly rate.

Thanks guys! I'm stoopidly nervous about tutoring, but don't know why. So starting with someone I know is a way to try easing myself in gently.

Just had an email about a conflict of interest form. Seems like I'm part of the exams team despite not signing anything .

You could ask CCL about the going rate for tutoring? No point knowing an expert and not using them.......

We paid £35 an hour for (online tutor  but is a member of SLT at local grammar school) tutoring last year

A good start to the month's spending: £3 netted me:

4 different types of hummus @ 20p each

1 pack of 4 cheddar + bacon sausage rolls @ 70p

6 nana

8 apricot

3 apple

1 red pepper

1 iceberg

2 clementine

5 orange

8 carrot

23 onion

so it'll be carrot + hummous for lunches along with a big a$$ salad for the next few days! Perfect for travelling on the train on Sat.
