Je déteste la paperasse!

Can't believe I have to ask parents 4+ times for paperwork for this blessed French trip. We go in 10 days. Sigh.

Have had more ideas + help offered for the French breakfast I'm organising this Friday. It will no longer be a grayscale affair, but a full colour one!

Went to a dance class this morning at the gym as I was tired from working out yesterday evening while pip climbed. I mistakenly thought it'd be nice. It was blimmin' hard work!!!!!

Have signed up to the DBS repeat thingy - on day 28 of the 28 days allowed after they issue the certificate. Phew!

I still hate paperwork. Final demand letter gone out today. My risk assessment got lost . No idea how! Fortunately I had time to print it out again and the bursar prioritised me. Still got lots to do admin-wise, but deadline is 7pm tomorrow or their child is withdrawn from the trip...

Pip is shattered. 5 hour mock art exam today. Poor thing is so pale.

Dh has overdone it today (but still gone out on the bus for a social at a friend's house!) and is quite wobbly on his pins.

Basically, life is quite a grind at the mo. Just one of those times. Give us 10 days and pip will've broken up and I'll have done my French breakfast, my Boulogne trip and also have broken up. Can't wait!

Pip has gone into school but I am collecting them a bit early. They agreed that keeping them off would have caused more issues than going in, so finishing a lesson early was a good compromise.

Dh is all wobbly and back in bed with the telly, his tech and a coffee.

I had a message this morning that my French colleague's mum is seriously ill, so she needs to travel to her asap. Therefore, not coming on the trip. Panic mode was delayed while I went to the gym. And another colleague (who was on my very short list of people I'd be happy to have come along with me ) has offered to come. Yay!!!!

Hang on in there, you have fun things to look forward to at work, and Easter hols are in sight. 
Shame that the head has treated you so shoddily. Otherwise you might have been more inclined to fill the gap.  Which you won't (you won't will you?  A.S.O.S rules!)

Ha ha - I did get asked if I could cover her Mon, Weds and Thurs. By the dep head who is in charge of trips so knows that I'm away on Thurs. Twonk. Total twonk. Total utter twonk.

I looked at my colleague's timetable and have agreed to cover Monday (it includes a free period) only. And I'm going to take a very chilled attitude and approach to the day.

I dreamed last night that I completely missed the French breakfast and they did it anyway even though I have all the food here!

Not that DH has been ASOS-ing at least once a year for the last  4 years ..... well, when he has  not  actually been on strike...

Normal work on Tues.

Not going there on Weds - pip finishes.

To Boulogne on Thurs (5am departure form work - ugh!)

Normal work on Fri.

Then 3 whole weeks off (with a bit of revision classes at the start and some 2nd job work at the end). And then the real countdown can begin.
