I have just had a 10 min convo with big sis, and now need a nap! It really wrecked my throat and chest - and it's not like I was monologuing!
Down to 27° in the bedroom. Positively chilly ❄️.
Pip is chomping at the bit to get out but still tested positive this afternoon, and has a cough and runny nose. I'm not even going to think about testing until I actually might feel like going somewhere...
I managed 10/40 today, which is really good going. It's good to know my brain is functioning albeit in short time frames. And I stopped at 5pm.

Cor. A rough night. Still waking up a lot. Added to it last night by doing some seriously painful coughing.
Phoned GP this morning to request an antibiotic scrip, as I had some green snot. More precautionary than needed, but with the weekend ahead, I didn't want to need them and not be able to get them.
My body is still well out of synch. I was upstairs in my bedroom, temp approx 29°, and coping with a wet flannel and cold water to drink. Yet as soon as I went downstairs, my back was sweating like a sweaty thing even though it was cooler there. I have heat blisters across the midpart of my back. Due, I think, to sitting up against pillows yesterday as I worked.
Work. I'm up to 19/40. Pip is very proud of me 😎.
Pip is still testing positive, but the line is getting fainter.
Dh is somehow still testing negative!

Today I plan to be downstairs. There is a breeze. It is cooler. Yes, I'm still infected, but 29°+ is too much, I have decided. I don't need the antibiotics, which is good news.
Read a piece this morning that confirms what f0xh0les said about people taking antidepressants needing to stay especially hydrated in weather like this. Also explains excessive sweating on my back, and subsequent heat blisters. Dh blamed them on me being out in the sun too much and I pointed out that I'd not been in the sun since Sunday... So, not my fault!
They also stop you regulating body temp, and reduce the recognition of thirst because of the seratonin stuff. This fascinates me, as pip has always had trouble recognizing being cold (as a toddler, if they said they were chilly, it meant that they were really cold), and recently forgets to drink enough (usually, I've got them in such a routine re water that it's not an issue, but I've not really been involved for the last 12 days). These are common autistic issues.
Dh is moving around. He was coughing a bit yesterday, and pip and I are on hyper alert. Though so far his tests are negative...

I spoke too soon. Checked twice. He's positive. I guess that explains the blanket he put on the bed overnight!

I am improving, humdinger. Thank you! I have only taken one lot of paracetamol today and am much less snotty.
I have managed to eat really well whilst ill - no added sugar, no dairy, no bananas (they trigger my sinuses!), no grains. So, eggs, fish, fruit, veg and nuts have sustained me! And the occasional packet of crisps... I have logged everything - it gave me a focus - and I was surprised how many calories I was still eating.
More marking has been done. I want to do one more today, so that I have just 10 left for tomorrow.
Pip and I are going away on Tues. Gulp. Dh can't come along anymore, so I'll be in charge all on my own! I did half consider cancelling the whole thing, but we're meeting up with friends over from Spain for the first time in 3 years. Plus big sis and niece. So no way would pip allow me to cancel.

Pip went out yesterday after finally getting a negative test result. I know that they could go out after just 3 days (and me after 5), but they were meeting a friend and didn't want to pass anything on. They had a fab time! I drove them to the easiest bus stop, and even that was hard work for my body. It is defo a virus.
I completed the marking yesterday and it is ready to take to the PO.
It's dh's b'day today and he is all coughy and spluttery already. I have very little for him, just what I ordered off etsee last week. Hmmm, maybe the co-op will have some treats...?!
Today will mostly be about packing.

Just had a discussion with pip about whether to take a waterproof away with us. They opted to take a brolly. Then the rain started here! So pip may take both...
My bag was nice and light, only about half full. Then I added the food - the stuff I cannot guarantee finding. Now it is very full indeed! I'd rather take it and know that I can feed pip than have to keep trawling around supermarkets when I'm still quite poorly. There's an aldee just 0.2 miles away, and an asdar about 10 mins the other way.
Am hoping it will be fun, but am pretty sure that me and pip will both simply collapse once we arrive... In some ways, we'd rather cancel (and if it was just a jolly, then we would) but we are seeing friends we haven't seen in 3 years and pip won't hear of not going. We're also gone for almost a week, due to fitting around the train strikes. That's a long time for us!

We're currently resting somewhere between king's Cross and Peterborough... The train has been pulled aside! Previous broken down train has caused overhead line issues.
