Under 19k yesterday and that was a day that felt like it was without much walking...

We got away early and were asleep by 9.30. I couldn't keep my eyes open!

Last day today.

And we're home. Yay. A super smooth journey. Pip went straight to bed and crashed out for a few hours. Tomorrow is a doing nothing day for them.

Pip was in bed for 13 hours. Dh did about 11; I did about 10 - but I did start at 9.15!

The sun is shining and I have lain out in it, along with 2022 CrossFit on my tablet. They are sooooo fit! Now, I'm filling the paddling pool. Slowly though, as the hose is a delicate thing.

Pip has tested positive, poor thing. And is quite poorly, like a nasty cold. The first time COVID has been in our house! Dh and I are both negative. Gov info says pip just needs 3 days isolation, and they're double jabbed. Just one of those things, eh?

And liddle (I shopped before pip was awake) had no 85% choc. What is the world coming to...?

And a lovely friend drafted my next email to send to work. Still total radio silence from them.

@apple_muncher you don't think you've (quite rightly!) whistled up a storm here? The Trunchbull (please tell me that's not in fact the head's name!) could be dealing with painful questions; all avoidable if the situation had been properly handled...or even if you'd had a timely, decent response.   Keep us posted and hope PIP is soon on the mend and that you 2 don't go down with it.  Love Humdinger xx

Humdinger, I'm not sure who used Trunchbull first as a name! Twasn't me! And no, it's not the head's name! The next email will go on, or shortly after the 15th. But I might drop his PA an email before that...

Pip has been in bed all day. A few doses of calp0l, a little food, some naps. Of course, they are now not at all sleepy!

I've started feeling rough. Sore throat all the way up, aching eyelids (!!!??!!), weary body. But I thoroughly enjoyed a day in the sunshine. By keeping my shoulders and head in the shade all the time, plus a few pool dips, I have a fab time out there with my tablet for reading/watching things.

Dh kindly went out and picked up a purchase I made the other day... I've been looking for weights/kettlebells on gumt for a while and since getting my barbell  plus some weights for a bargainaceous £5, I've looked specifically for weights. And voila! 80+kg of weights, 4 dumbbell bars, 8 screw thingies to hold the weights in place, all for £80. And only 6 miles away. Shame I'm too poorly to even think about lifting any of them.

I've been contacted yet again by the exam board, cos I'm so good at it! Asking me to remark some. At double pay! I've said yes, but only for 40 as we go away the day before the deadline.

Hope pip feels better soon - and you do, too. Hopefully DH won't succumb....? 🤞🤞 (I'm guessing you've also got it from the symptoms..  xx)

Yep. Tested positive this morning. After a weird night of dreaming I was camping! Multiple wake ups throughout the night. Ugh.
