The show went well. It was quite relaxed and fun. V glad we weren't in the main room with most of the dance groups, so it was much quieter. I only got pip to bed at 10.45 so they slept in this morning as dh and I were both on duty at church, so we were out by 9 for several hours. Pip has only left their room to go to the loomor fill their water bottle! This coming week is off timetable for my place. And we all know that that is so much harder work than actually having your usual lessons. It really is. Sigh. Plus I don't really know what's going on each day apart from Monday. I guess I'll just turn up and enjoy it as much as I can...However, those happy pills are working, I reckon. Coupled with making certain decisions about things, and some v stress-inducing things now being in the past.3 more work get ups to go...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

I have had a good day. I was on the buses but it was really relaxed. And at work, I was only allocated to 1 session, the steel drums, and got to have a go myself which was fun. I couldn't believe how the kids weren't wiggling to the reggae beat!!!So, the rest of the time was mine, all mine. I put CrossFit 2016 on the big board and went through all the textbooks. Manky covers got replaced. Torn bits got sellotaped up. The best ones got put in the slots for their classes next year, along with piles of exercise books. 4 ring binders got emptied out. 1/3 of the display came down. The bookcase is now almost bare. And the recycling all got taken to the right bin, along with 6 flattened boxes that had held the exercise books. I feel like I am nearly there, and it is nearly in the state I want it to be in, ready for September. And I have done nearly 19000 steps too.The marking is now happening after a big glitch at the admin end. I hope to get a fair bit done tomorrow.Picked up more happy pills from the chemist, along with a big box of busc0pan for pip and some soluble paracetamol, cos pip has trouble swallowing them and I've never seen soluble paracetamol before. Only aspirin. Also tomorrow:. school run.gym.certificates.emails re missing books.buy train tickets for to and from the boats.email cousin.laundry.markingNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

Soluble paracetamol rocks, it works even faster than tablets, and is even available in Mr T's shopping emporium quite cheaply. Plunk Plunk fizz. One of those things you don't notice until you need to.Fab news on next ac. year prep. and your step count puts mine to shame.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Oh crap.Told on Mon around 8.30 that we'd get our timetables within 48 hours.yesterday I emailed my line manager (DH) to ask when i could expect to receive mine. Tomorrow. Was the one word reply. I emailed today at just after 5, pointing out the missed by over 32 hours deadline, and requesting it plus an explanation for it being late.17.34 I was emailed it. By someone else. And told that I'm now working a Thurs + Fri, subject to the other teacher's availability. What?????I'm sharing most classes with someone I'll never see. I have to teach reception, y3, 4 and 5 too.I put in writing (when we were asked to do so) that Mon/Weds/Thurs worked best for my child's mental health. To say I am gutted is an understatement.Tomorrow is the last day of term.I want to resign. I expect DH will tell me not to.Is there anything that makes anyone think this is constructive dismissal, giving me something that is unworkable for me, with no warning or discussion? Is certainly feels like they are trying to remove me.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

Have a word with your union rep (are you in a union? get into a union asap!) The problem has not begun yet, it is a theoretical until you know the other teacher's availability.I have had a quick word with Dr F-H who in a previous life was union rep at a University - you need to put in writing that you are not happy, (submit a grievance) that you feel you have a right to reasonable adjustment for your caring responsibilities, and that this is not what was agreed at your last meeting when you explained your circumstances and asked for them to be taken into consideration. - you need to have it all in writing - but your first port of call is to see your Union rep as a matter of urgency. It is too little notice. It is not a reasonable adjustment.Your wishes do not seem to have been taken into account. When is the other teacher going to be able to tell you when their availability is?Is it someone likely to be reasonable?DH says not to jump straight down the route of constructive dismissal - CD is too hard to prove, and rarely gives the outcome you want -even if they are trying to squeeze you out, CD is the last resort.I would tap up some agencies that do supply teachers and tell them your availability and preferred working days and see if there would be demand for you locally.I would also look up my notice period, and give them exactly that amount of time - to the day- before the Autumn term starts.....but then I am a petty c0w. Mind you I would also rock up as an agency worker to the school that lost you with a big grin on my face and walk out at 2.55 with no worries and no marking. You have skills, you are in demand, you have experience. You need your union rep.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Thanks F0xh0les x. By the way, there is no other teacher as yet...!My notice period is half a term, so I'm stuck now until Dec 31st. Dh has drafted a couple of emails. I expect I'll just have to suck it up and get on with it. At least I still have a job...We've been out this eve as pip was performing in Matilda. It was fab! But late.Just one more day.I've bought sweets for the tutor group I've attached myself to, so someone will be happy tomorrow! Can't believe I'm off on my jolly across the waves on Sat. That's only 2 sleeps away.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

I'm off to Guernsey, karma. Big sis has done all the organizing (apart from buying my travel tickets). We're going to see some cousins we've not seen for 42 years!!! On Tues we're off to Sark for the day. I'm only there for 3 nights due to pip and exam work. But big sis is staying for 10.
