Thanks, f0xh0les. Been there, done that. Got the t-shirt.
Hmm,  interesting,  don't think you can catch it twice :D:D:D

The joys of the hormones I'll start to take later this year (for 10 years!!) means I get to do the symptoms of it all over again....🙄 (having done it before in my early 40s after a hysterectomy) Being female is decidedly not fun at times!! 😏😁

I would have a hysterectomy. If one was offered.

Mine was definitely worth it - I had one where everything is removed without any external incisions/ scars - I was driving in 3 weeks (necessary evil - 4 kids aged 12 to 8 months in 3 different schools and a husband working away in London all week... The school run (3x / day) took around 1.5 hours each time by walking and left me exhausted and no time for anything else) Have you enquired about it, Al? - there was a solid reason for mine (triple prolapse! 😱 as well as heavy, debilitating periods) and I had no issues getting a referral to hospital. Obviously well before c0vid, though....

I am very glad that my week at work is done. A particular lesson today was so draining and the ensuing emails will have ramifications for a while, I expect. At least I won't now see that class as a whole before the end of term. I know that that is not the right attitude, but it's the one I've currently got. I have nothing more to give.
I'm not back in work until Monday (a day of adorable kids), always assuming I can get back from Mancunia...!
I've got a full refund for the original ticket, which is good. I think I'll just check the cross city trains and set off mid-morning, with a good amount of food and a book, and see how far I get!

@apple_muncher I hear you on the lesson and no shame in the way you feel about it.

Greent did you have a GA? I could be awake but I'm not keen on a GA if I can avoid one.

Yep - I've not heard of anyone having it done under local - I suspect your hips end up in a weird position for them to get good access. Still far better than the hyst my friend had a couple of years ago (same NHS trust) with a huge lateral abdominal scar.

That says everything, apple, it's actually the *right* attitude to know when your tank is completely empty, otherwise you start taking it out on the kids.

I'm sure that's right too - but don't forget a nice big bottle of water!

Made it! Door to door in about 7 hours. Nice train people let me on earlier trains, which was fab.
The local sainz has provided my tea, and will do my brekkie too, as that's not included in the room. Boo. I didn't change my hotel booking to the one where the actual meetings are, so I'll have a good 20+ min walk tomorrow. I'm not moaning ( unless it rains, but I have a jacket and brolly) as I'll be sat down for most of the day.
Last time I was here, I travelled over to Stockport to see my old house. And it peed with rain the whole time. So I remembered my brolly this time! Though the forecast is fair.
