It is actually somehow rather liberating to not know what I'll be doing and therefore not have to plan anything!Today, I have my hands full with getting ready to travel and trying to do as much exam marking as I can. I am so lucky this year to have a fab team that hardly need me. I love them!!!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

Having a fab time!Cousin met us off the boat yesterday, and brought us to our accommodation, stayed for a while chatting and will pick us up later this morning to go to her house. This evening, another cousin is picking us up to go to his house. And on Weds, were meeting up with a third cousin. Then I go home. Ooph.I have the child's room, complete with castle wardrobe! And a v soft bed.I got up and did a workout first thing, then off on an exploratory walk ( it's steep here and we're at the top!) down and up again. Then decided to swim in the pool. It was gorgeous! Lovely and warm even at 8 .30am.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

Apparently the henge is a modern one!Nevertheless, I left the others after I got fed up with them faffing and not really doing much and then big sis saying ' we'll come back and do more another time'. I won't be able to come back! So I legged it off to find the henge, only to discover that I'd found the dolman, which is genuinely old. I ate my lunch in its shade and headed off for the henge. I took photos and selfies at both, to prove I actually was there😎. I have done over 25,000 steps today. For which f1tb1t gave me a minion badge of Kevin for 22,222 steps 😂. And a classics badge for the 25k.It was a fab day, running around the island all on my own, with only a couple of photos of the map to get me there and back again. I hardly saw anybody else, so at least the photos would have help locate me had I tumbled over a cliff...! I think... Now that I've written that, it sounds all wrong; though it made perfect sense in my head at the time...I washed my feet in the sea before we caught the boat to Guernsey. They were minging as I was only wearing trekking sandals. Then in the apartment, I nabbed a shower to get rid of the day's dust, then hopped into the pool, then nabbed another shower. I am definitely clean. And, just so you know, the marking it trundling along quite happily. I'm hearing the end of my own quota, but do have to chivvy along a couple of my team. Though overall, they have been brill, and most of them have not really needed me at all!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

To lose one team member is unfortunate. To lose a second one is positively careless. I wonder what the record is...I'm glad to be home. The boat went via Jersey!!!!!! Where we spent about 4 hours as there was a huge amount of freight to load. Then had a cold night as the Aircon was set to super cold. And docked an hour late. I walked to the train station and caught the first train, which was only 10 mins later 😊. Dh picked me up from the station and I was home 19 hours after leaving the apartment. Ooph.I hope to sleep well tonight, and then finish my marking tomorrow.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

Marking is all finished. My team are fab and most of them are self-sufficient. Yay.Tomorrow I'll send the email to my head. And to the chair of trustees too.Dh set up the paddling pool while I was out with pip. He forgot about it, being the first time using the hose, so it is very very full!Pip was invited to a friend's bday bash at a free Ziggy Stardust event, then on the Pizza Expr355. It all went v well, though pip is shattered from bouldering, the heat, the interactions, the emotions, the interactions, the eating in public, the interactions...I took the opportunity to go round the ch shops while pip was at the event, and found a carry-on sized wheelie bag, hardly used, some trekking sandals for me, hardly used, and a green hoodie. Total spend £19.50. I went looking for hair curlers for pip (the round ones that you leave in overnight) but not surprisingly, found none. And I did ask in every shop.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2
