I haven't done that adding up sort of thing (I don't have appointments really, I've realised, oops ).  Sounds busy for you, though.  Have some fun!

Today I bought a geranium. And have already potted it up. Go me!

The roads were blissfully quiet as I went to the gym, the sun was shining, people were chatty.

And I'm about to drop dc off at a friend's house for ... 3 whole hours. Carefully designed to be at a time that avoids all meals 😁. So dh and I are stepping out for a coffee together.

Coffee has been slurped.

3 strawberry plants have been bought and planted in the planter we made from pallets a while ago. Dh now has 7 plants in there, so hopefully something will be produced...

Had to laugh, I have a kingsize divan base currently in the back yard, as underneath all that cardboard and fabric is perfectly good wood, and I still have rescued bed slats to finish the sides nicely. Yay to all us rescued wood-wombles!  When you see those free pallets lying about all over the place, but the prices of planters in the Q&B Warehouses are so high!

May, I have decided, is to be all about me.

(Obviously, there's still dh, dc, wider family, work, church... to consider)

We'll see how that goes...

I've just done myself a schedule for my marking. One component finishes on the day I go to the pre meeting for the next. Perfect timing .

Tomorrow I will be getting up super early, to try and do some work for dc. This particular lesson went extremely badly last week and dc missed most of it. They didn't understand what to do, were sat too far from others to ask for help, left to go to the loo, and they generally find the teacher unhelpful and not kind and completely unapproachable. And do not want to go to school tomorrow because they have this lesson.

So I'll be up early to try and tidy up their book and do the work. Gulp! And write a note about it. And draft an email to another teacher for our back up plan.

It has been a good day, until 4.10. Collect dc, feed dc, take dc to youth, come home, eat, go and collect dc (dh has this job but couldn't do it today and I wasn't given enough notice to loiter around while dc youthed, so had to come home, meaning about 100 mins of driving, ugh), help dc unwind, give dc some alone time, and finally, spend 40 mins discussing the above school situation...

And breathe...

apple, I hardly know what to say, it sounds so difficult for you and dc day to day, your dh too.  I hope this is a growing phase, and gets integrated soon, so you can all move forwards.

Thank you karma 😙. Each day is different, so they are not all quite so difficult.

Anyway, I'm up and ready to do my worst with a pencil...

Oh boy. My worst really is pretty poor. It's drawing a lightbox with all its joints and angles and perspective. And I was trying to do it using DC's original. Now dc sees things much more clearly and sharply than me so their lines are very light for me and trying to work it out is tricky. Anyhow, dc is satisfied with what I've done and I've written a note. And that's all I can do.

Gutting.

Also had a gutting email re something, which I read this morning. So I have to try and process that. And I had an uncomfortable awkward stressy dream about picking up my speaking test papers today. Ugh.

I definitely need to keep moving today and possibly do a workout once I'm home.
