    Thanks Alchemilla. I don't think I am :D
Looking at the week ahead, dc has a really busy week. Mon youth group; Tues youth group; Weds careers fair at school; Thurs dance. And they are already quite emotionally worn out from today. And none of them are removeable, as they all help with their mental health.
However, we both now know 4 irregular Latin verbs and have discussed the careers thingy and what to go and see. Many parents have said on the group chat that they aren't going, that it's too early for their y9 child. We went to this back in y7! And dc won't hear of taking that evening off...
I've been waking up bang on 5.30 for several days now. Most annoying. And tiring.
So, like last week, I am not looking forward to this week with any joy in my heart...
And the place we wanted to stay on the IOW next month is now booked up for our dates. So time to look again...

Thank you for my stardom ⭐
I have had some good chats today with dc. Really useful ones that just came out of sitting quietly/silently for a couple of hours, and then a few mins of conversation every so often.
And I do feel slightly better about the week ahead as one of our conversations was about borrowing energy from the next day and acknowledging that we don't yet know how to recognise that that is happening, so we'll probably only learn through experience.
I am hoping for extra frees tomorrow as y12 are out at a UCAS thingy. I may well be used for cover, but am unlikely to be used for both frees... I hope! It's an early start (out by 6.20) on the buses, but should be dry...
And we have booked a nice place on the IOW. Phew.

Today, dc has a club starting at 8. The plan was to take them up in the car and pop the car back home. Then get the bus to counselling and go straight off on the buses to meet a friend about 11 miles the other way, and get home hopefully in plenty of time to fetch dc at the end of their day.
But yesterday, on my way home, I had a 3 min gap between buses so nipped into the furniture charity shop and saw what looked like an awesome brown leather sofa. Half price. Dh and I are going to see it later, if it's even still there. But that adds a layer of complication, as although it is directly on the way to meet my friend, it will delay me getting there.
So I think the question is: do I use the car to get to counselling, to save time?
On the other hand, I could leave the car up near the school all day, and use the buses for everything.
It's the possibility of mixing and matching that is doing my brain in!!! 🤪
    And breathe...
Definitely car usage for dc ferrying. Probably car usage for counselling. Buses for the rest. For now...

Also, collect dc at 4.30, feed, and take out for youth in car (5.30-8.30 ish). And loiter...

So far, so good. Dc is at school. Counselling was very good, as usual. I went in the car. Dh and I then got the bus to go and see the sofa. It is so comfy. We are having it!!! Also bought a wheelie suitcase and a cafetiere from charity shops in the 7 mins before our buses came.
Had a wonderful lunch with my friend at a place that had a gf menu, so I had a choice of food 😁. And my friend paid - even better!
And tonight, I'll not be loitering. Instead, I'll drop off and dh will go back and collect.
I'm trying to simplify my life, and also not use the car so much. Which ends up complicating things!!!
