Oh, no, Stephen Fry was in the rowing boat,  Sherlock shoved her out the train door.   I think.

There were no Sherlocks on our train, f0xh0les. Nor Watsons. Nor even Moriartys. So I was safe.

More clambering about has been done, during a 4 mile walk. Up and around the Roaches to the trig point (505 m ) and back down to the car. Dh did some bouldering/ clambering with dc and I got allocated the easier routes - more scrambling and less climbing. Not complaining! And the sun even deigned to turn up a bit. As did the midges and flying ants... along with all their rellies. And mates. And mates' rellies...

We weren't bitten, fortunately. Just hyper aware of them landing on us. Especially dh ,on his bald head!!!
And now, we are home. Yay! Dc and I were playing 'spot a rainbow of cars/vehicles' which helped pass some of the time...We even went off-rainbow and did black and white (easy peasy) and brown (tricky) and pink (quite subjective!)
Two loads of laundry done. Tea has been munched. Looking forward to my own bed.
In money matters, we did no ferenghi (sp?) acquisition spending, just food and the steam train 😎.
Tomorrow will be different... I have managed to get a home haircut appt for dc (need to cut it before we bother dyeing it a suitable colour for school!), and I am off to look at a bike for me. It's second hand but not particularly cheap, but worth a look. And if it rides well, I'll get it. I'll be taking my heavy old bike along in the hope of a bit of part exchange discount...

Ferenghi acquisition?  So you didn't meet up with Quark on holiday?  :D Just as well :)

Good luck with the bike!  I've been wondering about an electric folding bike, and then about a little car ... but with my balance issues, I'm wondering whether I'd get use out of either of them!

Dc's hair looks fab and the lady only wanted £15 for it. Dh bartered her up to £20 :D
I have my new bike, and he took £40 off it for my old one. Result. Now dh is on a mission to get me mudguards and a pannier. (the one we took off my old bike is the wrong shape for this one where it attaches at the top). The handlebars are lower than my old one, but I expect I'll get used to them and if not, we can get an extension thingy.

Yay to the self propelled  apple cart! and it is recycling, and it is eco-friendly, and you got a discount, and someone else will enjoy your old bike (or bits of it), and you did not have to go to the tip.
The Green Star Eco Award for 28/8/21 is hereby awarded to apple_muncher... (speech! speech!)

Thank you to all my supporters. And my family. And turtles everywhere. And for gumt. And George, who I messaged calling him Harry and who just laughed at my error.
I shall treasure this award for ever 😎
