Yep, it's a bit like that f0xh0les! Though it's all in my mind at the mo. No progress made yet.Well, it has been a mellow day. I have seen my counsellor and been to sainz, and worn my bikini. Only in the back garden, mind 😁. Last chance as I'm working Weds + Thurs. I sincerely hope the mellowness continues.I'm pondering giving up my gym membership. Looking ahead, I think I'll only be able to go a max of 3 times a week in term time, if I also go once at the weekend. I rarely use any equipment that I don't already have at home. I've not moved in to the weights/barbell area at all ( apart from walking into it to get dumbbells 😂). I'm not a cardio bunny. Nor a cardio hippo...! However, it is good to get out with a purpose ( and combine it with bargain hunting at the liddle in that area...). And I do use the super duper Boditrax machine. Whoop Dee Doo, eh?It costs about £38 per month. If I pay per session, it's £12 per gym visit. Yikes. Gym, swim, classes are all included. I don't attend any classes. I rarely swim. And a non member swim is about £4.50, which I think is cheap. And if I go for a swim, I guess I could always sneak up the stairs to the gym and use the super machine every so often... Naughty apple...Jury's well and truly out and undecided. I guess I'm a bit delicate from the poison incident, so haven't been in the last week.Still want to cycle to work/ church once a week. Would love to be a runner again. Neither of those require the gym. And both get me outside in nature/ freshish air.Oh, I just don't know!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

I'm pondering giving up my gym membership too - can't see me going in the week and weekends I'd rather do something else. I can also for free twice a month on DH 's fancy membership. I think that settles it, tbh - I'm a bit stuck with what I can do there anyway, as my impaired shoulder and dodgy wrists mean no free weights and Kettlewell and I'm limited in reality to leg weight machines and cardio (boring!!! 😴)I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £204

Oooph. Cycled there. Showered. Worked. Cycled home. Showered. Fed dc. Took dc to dance. Walked home. Ate. Walked back. Brought dc home.Currently observing maths hwk being done. No tears like we had every single time for the last two years, so being moved down a set seems to have been a good move...Quite a lot to do tomorrow. Though v little oomph to get myself to the gym!! Maybe late morning...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

I did get my backside up to the exercise place. And I had a jolly nice time. Probably helped by a nice young man (who was fit as a fit thing) told me that my form was really good.Latest slight dilemma: there's a full time job going at dc's school. Do I apply? Do I want to go full time? My immediate issue is that I feel loyal to my current place (even though they have treated staff like ****, will have taken us out of TPS by end of dec, would replace me no problem, might fold anyway...) and especially to the pupils... No harm in applying, I guess... And they may not want me anywayNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

I think your loyalty to your current place might be slightly misplaced, apple2023: the year I get to buy a car1

If dc is less anxious and more settled, and you would be in the same vicinity, I think it might be a win/win situation.I would hire you @apple_muncher
and let's face it, at the minute we have quite a high % of turtles going for jobs they don't think they will get, and coming away being the absolute, hands down, best candidate and getting hired.
Is there a reason you do not want to go full time .... or is that just the voice inside your head?4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I'd work for you anyday, f0xh0les! Had another conversation about it this afternoon, and a text from another friend. All telling me to give it a go.And if I get it, it'd sort out my dilemma re the gym!!!!!This afternoon, I talked about what I do on my current 2 days off: visit mum, see my counsellor. I've not visited mum for a while as dc has needed me. And I think counsellors must surely offer evening sessions. Now I need to stop procrastinating and download the docs...!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4
