I am sure your chard is a thing of beauty, and will go crazy with all that good compost.  You are going to have triffid-chard.

I have to be kind to it cos it was being munched where it was. And not by me!!!

Still one whole planter needing plants. Maybe my goosegogs, which got swamped by triffid rasps.

Off shoe shopping for dc first thing tomorrow. School shoes and walking shoes for our hols. Not boots, just sturdy shoes.

Ouch to the braces both of mine only had their bands changed when their braces got tightened (about every 6 weeks, from memory) - they could have coloured bands so used to walk around with all sorts of weird looking teeth Will all be worth it in the end, though - I didn't think their teeth were too bad before but I look at before and after pics and the difference is amazing.

Hope the footwear shopping goes well tomorrow. Thunderstorms are forecast here so I don't plan on going anywhere much! X

We are arrived in the ton of Cheddle, near the vegetable of Leek.

It took us nigh on 5 hours to do 200 miles... I must admit that I saw several very yellow cars on the journey, having said this morning that they're very rare.

The house is described as 'quirky' but dh describes if as a shambles, totally disorganised! I can see both sides... Grill pan still had remnants of previous grilled fatty food. Yuk. Washing machine has a load of wet laundry in it and I can't open the door... So we're running a spin and drain cycle to see if that sorts it out... Some of the stuff in the dishwasher was still dirty. And the surfaces!!!! For some reason, they are s t I c k y, even after cleaning... Dh is now washing up us tea things plus a load of other bits and bobs. He's a ⭐.

However, dc loves the place, we have wifi, the tv just about works (connection done with the cable just touching the thingies, no proper connector, so don't breathe on it or walk too heavily...)

And this one's heating control thingy was just sitting obviously on a shelf in the lounge, so no climbing on top of a bookcase this time...

And tomorrow... we'll see what we feel like...

That sounds horrendous, apple, have you take pix and complained?  I'm glad dc loves it, obviously, but ....
