From me too.  I'm just catching up, and I have to say, I *love* your cool emoji when you ticked something off the list  B)

The bombshell has been processed, although I'm sure it will continue to need processing. My dd is now my dc (darling child).

In other news, Messi has accepted a paycut, down from his current reported £123 million per season... I have no words... But that blue haired shrieky emoji would be useful...
BBC headlines suggest that GPs should prescribe f+v first. The food industry warns that'll push food prices up, and people need to be able to choose how they eat. Twits.
My dc has an awesome haircut and we bleached part of it yesterday. Today we'll be applying ' washed up mermaid' blue to it.
Day #4 of our hols and the sun is shining. I want to mow that back with a view to getting out the paddling pool. For me, of course!

That *is* a bombshell ... this is the world we live in, though.  And it's not hidden from parents any more, which brings really tough challenges to parents, but is much better for a child's long term health.  Kudos to you, and your dc.

Thank you karma. I'm so pleased that I'm not being excluded from their life. I may no longer have a daughter, but I do still have my child. Some of their friends cannot tell their parents, which must be super hard for them.

Today we applied Washed up Mermaid', which isn't as blue as we expected, but still looks amaaazing. There's a PM trip to a friend's house where there's a pool to splash in ( yep, gonna defo keep that friendship!!!),which may alter the colour a bit. And we'll apply a second dose tomorrow.
Two bags dropped to the Sally Army. Two small boxes of books and mags, plus a syl can windmill and a bag of rags, all dropped to 0xfam. Then hair gel, spray vit d (dc has an insufficiency - not quite a deficiency, I think) and The Big Pink dye purchased from b00ts. I wanna dye my hair now, and dc chose my colour. The dyes were using are semi permanent, between 2 and 50 washes. We'll deal with whatever colour is still there at the start of Sept!

Love that you and your dc have a relationship where that discussion can be had though.  Enjoy the pool trip which fits in well with the washed up mermaid motif cos where else would they hang out?

It was only dc who got to splash around. No adults allowed. Boo. Instead I got to mow the front and back (suffice to say that some of the runaway rasp canes in the lawn had reached about 2' in height...), plant some lavenders, do some weeding, slightly tidy the pots-with-seeds-but-you'd-never-know-cos-they-aint-growing, talk to a neighbour, watch the Tour live, and collect dc ready to feed them their tea before taking them out to troupe in 10 mins from now.

Teapot - you are so right. I am chuffed that this is not all being kept a secret from me.

I think it's great that dc feels comfortable enough to go through this with you - clearly shows you are doing a great job as parents. Makes it so much easier for them when parents are involved and supportive :) I hope school will be supportive to them come Sept. X

And definitely encourage keeping up the friendship with the pool owning family!! 😄 x
