He's on record so much, so recently, as saying that's what other people should do, and his boss is on record as saying how useless he is, he's not "popular" or populist the way his boss is, I reckon he knew he couldn't bluff it out.2023: the year I get to buy a car2

Ooooh, the Tour is exciting already. A gazillion crashes on the first day out. Very pleased that the Police - or should that be les gendarmes!? - are trying to locate the numpty spectator who caused one of the biggest ones.Twas a satisfying day at work yesterday as I was not required beyond the first 3 lessons, and 'my' room was free in the afternoon, so I cracked on with stuff. I emptied a 2-drawer filing cabinet of papers/copies of really, really, really useful stuff that I have used in the past but not used for rather a l o n g time and there is no immediate prospect of being able to use it as our teaching time was cut 2 years on the trot. I even gave the filing cabinet away, so there'll be no temptation to refill it. And I also have a cunning plan for tomorrow...which (if it works) may result in freeing a 4-drawer cabinet into the wilds of the room next door (if I can liberate the hundreds of stashed exercise books that a certain person keeps in filing cabinets - I reckon at least 1 cab 's worth of space is being taken up by the books and I want them out!!!!). Which will then mean that I only have 2 4-drawer cabs in my room, one of which can go in the spot vacated by the 2-drawer one (after the hols, mind) and the other one can turn around and try to be inconspicuous.I also finished putting up backing paper and a border on my long display board, and then also put up some display for next year. Go me!Today I have been out and about but not spent any money yet (I need some trellis...). I had a great session with my counsellor and then adventurised on to the gym. Where I did what felt like a mammoth session - I interspersed each exercise with 50 skips until I had reached 1000. Ooph. I left the house at 9 to see the counsellor and only got home at 1! But it was relaxing, travelling on foot and by bus + tram.I have been getting things done from today's list too. And that has removed several anxiety-causing items. Amazing how quickly things can be done when I set a timer...I am currently enjoying using the 'last view' button on the tv remote, as I flick between Wimbledon and the Tour.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

Apple, he is indeed but it may be because both other ministers and MPs refused to support him because of their utterly furious constituents?! Next election may not be all that far off....apple_muncher said:I may be wrong, but is Matt Hancock one of very few political figures to have broken the rules and then resigned? Rather than try to bluff his way out of it, or say 'oops, sorry, my bad' with no consequences?1 -
His awarding PPE contracts to his friends and family with no experience will be investigated soon. He has been profiteering from this pandemic. Having it away with his mistress in the office, while his wife was still recovering from the Covid he gave her by swapping bubbles, is the least of his crimes. Paying his mistress £1000 a day to ' advise him' ? really?Cannot believe he woke up his 8 year old kid late at night to tell him goodbye cos Daddy was leaving them, then left his wife to deal with the fallout and all the questions from the kids. It is all about him.He wants to be remembered as Hands, Face, My Place Hancock now rather than the man fiddling the books in 5 months time or the guy who killed the old people in the care homes and blamed the carers.4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

Like our Gav's recent comments about wanting to remove/ban mobile phones in schools in order to improve concentration (I think). Perfect 'Squirrel!!!' technique to deflect from the pissss poor treatment of our kids and their schools.Didn't get my way with the second filing cab, mainly cos I couldn't get in the room today. Also a colleague has flat out refused to let me move a cab full of her material into the room next door to reunite it with some more of her materials. She seems to think that she will be in 'my' room quite a lot next year, and certainly more than in the room next door. According to the timetable I have seen, she is in my room twice. In a fortnight. And next door quite a lot more.... Not sure what timetable she is working from... But she is the sort of person who scares me. She is always right. And shouty. And disapproving. And shouty. And never wrong. So I'm backing down. After all, it's only a filing cabinet! On the other hand, the person to whom the room next door 'belongs' and whose gubbins is filling 3 cabs and a big cupboard, has said yes please to the offer of help in clearing /sorting the cabs. So, I shall help her and even if I don't get to remove the cab from my room, I will have helped out a colleague. And maybe reduced their cabs by one. And that will be a good thing. And anyway, I will also sort out my own two cabs and big cupboard and see if I can squeeze them down to one cab plus cupboard... That is a job to look forward to for Monday afternoon, methinks 😎Oooh, last week of term is fast approaching for me and dd. I have just 3 teaching days left plus the final day when I'll opt to go in and say bye bye to the leaving staff.Anyone remember my pain regarding Elise et la vraie vie? Well today, me and my y12s decided we ain't gonna study it no more. Nope. Had enuff. We're gonna go for the shortest book out there. I feel sooo relieved! Tomorrow I need to do a bit more research and then tell them my choice (just double checking really), and I'll buy the books ready for next week.Enough witterings and blethering. Time to go and read up on everyone else's exploits...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

I think the lock on that there filing cabinet would suddenly become 'gummed up' if it were anything to do with me. I mean, if it were to be very well 'oiled' and then left all summer long, then, it would become increasingly annoying to use, I would suppose. If you were hating Elise already, then they would too, and you are not in the business of torture. After having been tortured by Die verlorene Ehre der Katerina Blum by a teacher who hated it, and us for making her teach it - honestly, it is not worth it.4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

I have gone for Candide instead of Elise. It is one of the two shortest books, and that is what was requested! Books, teaching guide and dual language version all ordered. Phew. I studied it in year 1 at uni, but hardly remember a thing about it. Fingers crossed it all comes aflooding back to me...Had an excellent time with dd's consultant today. He has rid us of the no-use-to-us-and-always-makes-us-feel-guilty dietitian and suggested asking our gp for another one, as there aren't any suitable ones in his hospital.Dd and I then had a happy half hour in the hospital c0sta, to ensure that she didn't get back to school too early! We've made our lists of 'who gets an end of year present'. Just as well, as we both finish next Friday... I am planning a visit to 0xfam tomorrow, in the hope of finding some fair trade chocolates, as well as knitting small items to make a bunch of flowers with a couple of bees. I also want to sew another elephant or two. They're super simple to do, once cut out. So I guess choosing the fabric and cutting them out is tomorrow's job too....sch run.gym?.liddle?.Sally army.0xfam.nationwide?.cutting out two elephants.flower +bee knitting. answer a couple of emails.collect dd from skateboarding clubThat'll do for now...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3
