Hmmm. We do have storage. But it's full to bursting. Or rather, full and bursting!!! The loft is mostly boarded over and Tetris packed by dh. Sigh... Who is the one without a bike in your house, f0xh0les??

After an initial tough workout and round of laundry, I have had an utterly lazy a$$ed day. I was up at 5.30. My body needed the bathroom... Why??? Dh went out for his final day of extra caretaking at about 6.15. I tried waking dd at 6.30, but she eventually got up around 8.45. She was sent home from school yesterday, poorly, and has needed a day at home doing absolutely nothing. But we'd agreed I'd wake her at school time to see if she had miraculously got better. Nope! Nowt precise, but no energy, poorly-looking eyes, weary lower half. She even missed the new skateboarding club at school...

I am subscribed to Loz and Liz's utube channel where they are talking about WSM. So I hope to know the podium places before Jan 1st 2022. Yay!!! No footage is available but it does seem to have been quite farcical. 5 groups, and depending on your group, you do different qualifying rounds. What???? (That'd be like hurdle races where some lanes jump more/fewer hurdles or run further/less...! But the winners from each heat go through, regardless of their times... )The top scorer in each group automatically qualifies. The next 2 guys have to do a stone off, ie a extra event, for the winner to qualify.
Then 3groups had to do a train pull. But the train wouldn't shift for anyone. So they ended up doing a train push instead the next day- 3 events that day, instead of the scheduled 2. Plus some guys had also already spent a minute busting a gut to try to move the train...
Anyhoo, Loz and Liz are fantastic 'commentators' and so knowledgeable. A pleasure to listen to.

That was the nice thing about moving houses 4 times in 3 years, we emptied the loft for the first time. I had no idea that half of it was up there - baby stuff that had no business being stored and not being used by someone else - obsolete tech, bits of furniture, cots, bags of baby clothes, etc.  So off it all went to the charity shop/ recycling centre.  I have not let him put anything in a loft since.  That is why we are falling over things!  Mind you the garage was just as bad!
If it has been in the loft for over 5 years and not used (and not of absolute huge sentimental value) then you don't need it.   I live in fear of DH ending up like his parents, who built a 4/5 bed house just for the 2 of them, then a shed, then a potting shed, then a barn,  and a workshop, and still need two shipping containers to house all their nonsense. Under every bed is boxes and suitcases of 'stuff'.  They still have the playmobil and lego from when their kids were small. They don't even play with it :D  They have not even unpacked what f-i-l inherited from his parents over 30 years ago.  It all just gets stored because it is 'mine'.
She did once say her kids were going to have a terrible time with it all if they died, but I just told her I would hire a skip and plenty could go in a bonfire - I have blotted my copy book I am afraid.
So I am going to get a decent system going on in the loft once the roof is fixed, I have a plan.
I am the only one without a bike.  I must do something about that.

I overtook an electric bike the other day. It was harder than simply going past a normal cyclist as there was nothing obvious to show it was a leccy bike, going at near the speed limit, and he wasn't dressed like a super speedy Lycra clad tour de France esque bloke. So it was quite a surprise to find it took so long to get past him. Luckily, there was very little traffic, but it was a new experience for me!

    I had noticed indeed!!!

Ummm... we moved... in a bit of a bad situation. Jellytot is now 9, in year 4! Diagnosed autistic, she’s wonderful and we have found lots of coping mechanisms that make life “normal” - like it’s completely normal for her to go through 50 pairs of knickers a week to find 7 that feel ok, and that’s why we have a drawer with 60 in

She has a baby brother! The Archangel as he shall be known here, is 3 months old. I don’t know where that time went!

I can’t believe DD is in year 8! What the heck, where has the time gone?

I retrained as a TA and qualified last year... a week after discovering I was pregnant  :D but I will get back to it. Did it to be around for the holidays and after school etc. My last job pushed me out due to my health. Managed to smash most of their “claims” and get a decent payout that saw me through.

Glad you’re doing ok. Scouts honour I won’t be going anywhere again! I need the accountability!! Xx

Much rubbish stuff going on at work. Not impressed. Off to sulk in a corner for a while until I can face it all.
