I got a late bday card today and it was one with wildflower seeds in the paper, so that has been duly planted out. Many seeds have been binned as they were over a decade OOD. Whoops. Or they were less than that OOD but I will never ever sow them!

Yep, tidying up takes all sorts of things, doesn't it :) have a lovely day today, it's still really beautiful here.

We only woke up at 7.30this morning. That is yet another unprecedented event of 2021...
I took my self off for a good gym session and liddle trip (another box bought 😀)
Then we all trotted up to some nearby-but-still-requiring-a-car-to-get-there shops, and dropped off a bag of quality items to the Sally army and did a trawl of all the open ch shops -about 6! 'spent' £20 of credit in the Sally army and got myself 2 brill pairs of knockabout trainers, Lycra leggings and purple jeans. Plus a laptop case for church and books for dd. I didn't get the 4-pack of red wool, as I have one already. I felt rather abstemious putting it back!!! In other shops, dd found a few more books, and I got mum some cool lightweight summer trousers, plus a notebook for myself with what looks like handmade paper.
Home for lunch and then dd did some history revision and I prepped y9 until the summer.
She's now doing some maths, dh is washing up and I'm sat in the sun in the garden.
After this break, dd and I only have 5 weeks left of the academic year.🎉

June has started off decidedly spendy!!!
    £70 on a f+f railcard for 3years
    £55 in m+s online
£60 ish on train tickets to go and see mum on Sat
£?? as yet unknown in George online.
Ooph. But it doesn't hurt much because it was all using a card from the comfort of my own house...😆
I got out this morning, to see my counsellor. It was just great to be live. The day's weather has once more been conducive to sitting in the garden. And the next few days of dd's social calendar have been sorted, with plenty of time for revision for her and prep for me.

I was wondering if you were going to be able to see your mum any time soon - lovely to hear it's this weekend.

Having discovered that I can get there and back in one day was a revelation! Dd wanted to also come along this time, as mum is now allowed to have 5 visitors. So that meant extra planning - railcard and fitting around her seeing her friends. We had to book a slot 2 hours later then we wanted to, but at least it means we're not up with the lark! Though it does mean a lot of time travelling. (That's time + travelling, not timetravelling, which would be much more fun....)

I had a good gym visit this morning, and dd even waved me off from her window at 6.30am!
She and I walked up to drop off a pair of old trainers in the Variety Club collection bin thingy. Then popped to a ch shop where we found some lovely soft denim jeans for dd, some glue sticks (dh was happy!) and some needle felting wool for me. It was then time for revision (dd) or prep (me). Dd z00med some friends and she and I then met up with other friends for a walk in the woods. Very happy that the clouds came!
Dh had a physical day chopping down small trees and taking them to the skip.
So we should all sleep well tonight...

    4.53am.
Not sure what woke me. Maybe my bladder. Maybe a neighbour. But by 5.15 I could smell smelly cigarette smoke - it's not what I consider 'normal' cigarette smell. But it was coming in through the open window. Yuk. So I got up at about 5.45! And took myself our for a walk for about 30 mins.
Not quite how I had planned to start the day...

I have heard from my Head - they are employing the person who I said no to. But for the same days of the person who is leaving - so it seems that there is no more suggestion of me changing my days or giving them all the A level teaching... In the end, the Head is my boss and their decision is the one that counts. I had already decided that I'd just get on with my own job as best I could next year, and am not surprised by this decision. Disappointed, yes. But not surprised. And at least the Head emailed me today to let me know.
