Sorry to hear that.  Sometimes the most I can do, when things get bad, is ignore everything until I feel I can start to cope.  Take care of yourself.

I cannot stay in my corner, so I'm going to leave the work stuff there, and ignore it for a few hours. Unfortunately, it is pretty urgent stuff (ie there's a meeting this Thurs lunchtime) so I can't leave it for too long. I have read through the paperwork but will come back to it this afternoon.

But first, there's dd stuff, shopping, gym, tip, and a bunch of nails to remove from wood that are all calling me.

I have sent 2 necessary emails as regards the situation at work. Will see what the replies bring...

Basically, although the situation is pretty far from my ideal, I have accepted that it is going to happen and nothing I do will change that. So it's time to get on with life, really. There is still so much that is good there and I need to refuse to be dragged down by certain other people and their attitudes/words/anger.

Percussive therapy will take place after lunch!

In other news, I have had another really hard and exhilarating gym session where I emerged drenched in sweat  So now it is time to go and chop up a load of veggies and scoff them.

There were only 4 nails to hammer out. But loads to get out with the claw hammer. Success. The wood was pretty wet, having been outside, so it is now inside, drying out. There's not enough of it yet to make my planter/raised bed, but dh understands how I want it made, so will be helping me saw and drill 😆.

I am now teaching that French book. So far, so good...

Had a consultation meeting at work, and dh came along to listen and support, which was just awesome of him. It was a good meeting, in my opinion, and once they've got back to me over a couple of queries, I can make a decision about the shenanigans.

There are plenty of other shenanigans kicking off, but they mostly include other people being total dimwits, but very noisily so, and being backed by other noisy numpties. So I'm keeping well away from them. You'll find me hunkered down below the parapet!!!

I acquired a pallet today. So now we need to take it apart. They are blimmin' heavy things!!

I'm able to keep away from most of it. I have chosen to remain on the group chat, but that's where much anxiety comes from for me, so I repeatedly need reminding not to take it seriously / not let it affect me. And that's the adults!! The job itself is lovely 😀.

Anyhoo, tis Friday and I'm not at work. I have a child to take to school, a visit to liddle to make, a possible gym to visit, a friend to meet for a walk, a pallet to dismember (though rain is forecast, so it may be postponed), and some relaxing to do.
