Sorry to hear about your sleep. I had poor sleep, and sometimes I still do if there's something on my mind. Everyone is different, but I find going to bed and relaxing works for me generally (I think this is advised against though!). I journal, read and listen to soothing music, lavender candle and oil on my pillow... this seems to help.
Hope you have a lovely day for DDs birthday.

I think dd has had a lovely day. Thank you for the bday wishes!
She was well pleased with her presents. One particular hit was a £shop hufflepuff bag! She got clothes, some make up, books, posca pens, an ink pen, cans of spray paints, crafting stuff, money, a book token, a tie-dye kit, money. A friend came round for some skateboarding, we had a small bonfire, and let off the fireworks we didn't use in Nov. I made - or at least, tried to make - a cake shaped like a skateboard. In a different context, it might have been identified as a new Thunderbird...! Two friends (of mine) popped round with presents for her, and her big sis + nephew called from canada, and her auntie and cousin from N'castle. It has been a good day, despite having a full day of home learning.

I have been sleeping much better, though I still need more than I'm getting... If I don't play a certain game on my tablet in the few hours before bed, then I sleep better. Or at least I fall back asleep faster after waking up...!

What a lovely birthday for DD!  That's gorgeous :)

As far as sleep goes, I'm like Earthie - relax in bed before sleeping.  For me, it includes (cringe!) reading my kindle.  Sorry!

Well, last night involved doing anagrams and a Y9 class. Ugh!
Dh tells me to sleep in, but dd needs waking at 6.45 and I need time to myself before others are up, so I have no choice! 6.01 is the time set on the alarm.

I think that it was a digestion issue last night, as I will confess I had rather a generous helping of cake (with marzipan and fondant icing). My tum was uncomfortable for a couple of hours around midnight. Today = clean eating and plenty of water! I'm already up to nearly 20g of fibre according to my f1tb1t ...

It is a wet, grey day out there. So glad dd's bday was yesterday!

Sympathies on the digestion issue - for the 2nd month in a row, I ordered a single serve pizza with my Asda delivery yesterday, and whereas it was lovely the first time, this time it was horrible - tasted full of chemicals and my stomach was gurgling for hours as it struggled to cope!

I downloaded the liddle app this morning and promptly went and used it, saving £6. Yay! 5 of that was as a first-time user, and spending enough, but £1 was money off items I was buying anyway. Result.
We had some snow this morning and I went out for a run in it. I absolutely LOVED running through the falling snow! By the time I went to liddle with dd, it was just really nasty cold rain, so the snow is basically gone now. But it was a great to see!
We are due to meet a friend of dd for a walk this pm. Hmmm. I do hope the weather eases off. I'd happily call off the walk, but dd really needs to see her friends...

Yay! The weather eased off and was much milder by the time we went out. We had a good ol' tramp around the woods and it was soooooo muddy!! We were lucky not to slip over and get totally covered. The girls ran along in it and were extremely splattered... 15000+ steps thus far...
So I have well and truly done exercise today! And dd has had time with a good friend. Result.

Dh submitted his tax return and I got a refund from hmrc of £200. Very nice. And then dh claimed back the working from home tax relief for me so that'll be a few more pennies.
Did another run this morning - it was just soo mild. I was well overdressed!
Sleep is still erratic. Had an after-work teams meet about some Teams functions yesterday, and it came back to take over my thoughts at 2am... Ugh.
I have inputted the shopping receipts for Jan so far. Last year I kept letting them build up and then had massive piles to wade through. I do still need to do December...
Am still getting a lot of veggies down me at lunchtime. My newest addition to my 'coleslaw' is grated swede. Yum.

I was just about to sign off when I saw you'd posted.  Swede in the coleslaw!  I can't tell you how impressed I am that you *like* that
