Dd is still sleeping, poor mite. She is defo not right. So I have had 2 hours all to myself thus far, which got me a workout, stretching, meditation, a check-in with dd ( yes, more sleep please), coffee, a read on here, some emails sent. Now dh is stirring, and I shall potter on.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

Aww, bless her - definitely doesn't sound right if she's still wanting more sleep - hope she feels better soon xI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £203

Poor little thing - anyone can over do it, and even ordinary lurgies are still around, unfortunately. Hope she feels better soon.
Your previous posts - I think it's mad that teachers aren't prioritised for the vaccine ahead of people like me. If children were really as important as this government pretends, there's no question that teachers would be on the essential worker list. There's too many teachers for that, though, I'm betting that's the issue. And now vaccine supply may be in doubt ... keep safe, apple.2023: the year I get to buy a car3 -
So, a road map will be out on 22 Feb. That is conveniently 2 weeks from 8 March, the date being bandied around for maybe schools returning. Hmmm, I wonder... I know the numbers are looking 'good' but that is only in comparison with a few weeks ago, surely. Too many positive cases. Too many deaths. Don't open things up again too soon. Please.Re the vaccine, I wish they wouldn't lump all teaching staff in the same category. They admit that the virus transmits more readily the older the children are. So vaccinate the secondary school and college staff first, eh?Actually, I think I'd back vaxxing the police and hospital workers first.Dd has not been in lessons again today. She slept until 9.30 on Tues and 8.45 today. However, she is improved and tomorrow's lessons look suitable for a return to school (maths, PE, art, English and citizenship). For PE, she's going to attend the lesson but only pretend to do it! If she were having to attend in the building, she's not be returning yet. One good thing for lockdown!!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

To edit my vaxx order: definitely put people with learning disabilities up high on the list.Dd is back at 'school' today and ok so far. I'm finished for the week, bar some admin.Have a union meeting later. Blimmin' trustees will not extend the consultation period due to lockdown...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

Oh yes, with you on peeps with learning disabilities too - a cousin of mine has Down's Syndrome, and she's had to be furloughed from her job at McDonald's because of a heart problem. She *hates* not working, it would be lovely for her to be able to get back as soon as they open up more.
And good luck with the meeting about union negotiations.2023: the year I get to buy a car2 -
A worthwhile meeting.Indicative strike ballot done.Yikes.I have been keeping an eye out for jobs on and off, and today have come across one that is part-time, 2-4 days (so they might take two people at two days each) and indicates they'll take someone from an nqt through to ups3. It is very local and I could walk it- under 2 miles. It is a new school, with its first intake now reaching y10 in September. However, I have been softened up oh so much after 19 years of where I am. I'm not at all sure I'd be any good back in the state sector, classes of 30... They do have a really innovative mfl teaching method, so I'll look into that. And if it is something I just couldn't do,then that'll help me decide whether to apply...Actually, if it wasn't on my doorstep, I'd not even consider it...And if my pension contributions weren't being messed around with, I'd not consider it either...But after all the changes and adaptations I have made in the last year, maybe I'm not too old to learn something new...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3
