Apple, it sounds like the presents to you are *really* well thought out, and very much what you wanted.  Absolutely lovely.

We have been out for a much-needed longer walk. We coincided meeting 2 of our friends with dd meeting a school friend to skateboard/chat. So we left them to skate/chat along with the car keys for if they got cold/wanted to sit. And off we trundled for about 4 miles. Excellent company and conversation was had (by all, I hope - defo by us!)

Dd has now gone out with a local friend, along with skateboards...

Starting to think about 2021. I tend to just go month by month with the NST challenges. And esp with covid scuppering anything long-term. But, karma, I do like your list so will be pilfering some of your ideas. And if I have a doc on the laptop, then I might see it every so often and do something about it...

We have had a fairly busy day, for tier 4!

I went out for a run first thing. In the late morning, dd had an orthodontist appt so we did that on the buses. And this afternoon, she had an optician's appt, so we drove for that. She needs new specs, so it was worth it. We also got some items from b00ts, and I paid in a cheque too.

Tomorrow we're going for a distanced walk with one of her friends plus her mum, so that will be fun.

Govt says sec schools are still going back.

Govt says 1500 army members will help.

Google reckons there are approx 3500 sec schools.

That is less than 0.5 of an army person each.

There is enough vaccination for the whole population.

Excluding children.

But aren't they the cause of this mutant spread...? Or at least, getting the blame for it...

In a few weeks, they can vax 2mill people a week.

But no children.

Sigh.

Another busyish day.

I did two of the day's scheduled chloe ting workouts first thing. Even before coffee!!!

Then dd and I met one of her friends + her mum for a distanced walk through the mud.

Then we had a message from church - they had received a LOT of f+v but their usual food hub partners were all closed, so please could people help and come and take some! So I duly went:  carrots, potatoes, broccoli, four caulis, onions, bagged salad, apples, bready stuff. Ooph! Some has gone next door. Some is now in the garden tool chest outside. I have managed to chop up our current old and wrinkly veg to add to some of the new stuff, and it is all roasting in the oven (where else, eh?) with some chicken thighs and big fat potatoes . So that is dinner sorted for a couple of days.

I'll need to purposefully use it as dh tends to reach for baked beans and frozen peas rather than fresh stuff.
But it is a lovely 'issue' to have.

Boris is confident it'll all be better by April 5th. That's far too specific for reality, surely...

Keep separate for New Year. After that, it is fine for millions of pupils to mix together... And fine for the big people who work with them... I'm ninth on the priority list. Guess I'm lucky to be on it at all!

People keep going on about the public being confused ... nope, its not us!

A friend said today that Boris is trying to be popular (like saying in Aug that it would be normal by cmas... ). To which I replied that he will never be popular, so he might as well give up trying...
