Do you know what, apple, I was so angry about the threat of legal action on an Education Department, I wound my way through the dozen or so "official contacts" that offered themselves when I searched for Gavin Williamson, and found the right one, to tell them how disgusted I am about this threat.2023: the year I get to buy a car2

Many of my family are/were teachers, but it isn't even that. We're in a bleeping pandemic, as far as I can tell the few local authorities who wanted to close early were going to do it for a few days either side of Christmas, and they wind up with the so-called national government threatening them with court action. Like Donald Trump in reverse, but not. I'm beyond disgusted, I'm actually furious, so I said a fair bit less than I wanted to say
I'm sure I got my point over though

Term has finished for both dd and I. Yay! Many kids opted with their feet and didn't attend today so we were greatly reduced in number, but had a lovely time with the ones that did bother to come along. And I was home by 1.30. Result.I usually go to the gym on a weds eve when dd swims and today, she once again decided quite last minute not to swim. Sigh. But for once, I still gymed and had a jolly good session. It was so goid that I'll not be returning there tomorrow morning, as I'd originally planned...! In fact, dd and I are off to town to visit the w0rks as soon as they open, to hunt down some art supplies she has on her list. Going for 9 on a Thurs, when most schools should still be open, should hopefully mean that she's not overwhelmed by crowds of people. I also hope to get fruit and veg from the street stalls.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

You can not move to online teaching for the last few days of school -because we say so.You will stagger the return of pupils in Jan, mixing online teaching with in the classroom teaching - because we say so.You will personally test those exam class pupils for covid as well as teaching them - because we say so.You will get permission from each pupil's parents ,and no doubt be blamed for those that do not consent. You will watch a 30 min training video to become 'qualified' and then make pupils gag and retch by poking sticks down their throats and up their noses - because we say so. (Do this at any other time, and you'd be fired onthe spot for gross misconduct!)If covid rates go up, it will clearly be the fault of school -and we will be sure to tell you that.Oh the poor headteachers. Yet another dumping of cr*p on them at the last minute. A designated area will be required. With a massive risk assessment. Who will provide PPE? Who will actually deliver the tests and take them away?NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

The people who made this up must have given it about 2 minutes "thought". So sorry you're going through this, apple.2023: the year I get to buy a car2

Thanks, karma. I'll just take it on the chin and do my best! I'm not in any sort of management position - phew - so I just have to do what I'm told.. But that doesn't mean I can't support and help those on high...We've just been told that we are to be in school and delivering online lessons for the first 3 days to all except y11+13. The email says we're to do normal lessons with them - but they have their mock exams!!! So surely it is pointless, us being in the building... Hmmm, that one needs thought from on high...Anyhow, I need to plan next 1/2 term anyway, so I'll prep the first couple of weeks as if we're online (ie simple and clear) and then I can just up the ante if we are all in the building. It'll certainly be different, being in the building with hardly any pupils around...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

What made me really mad was parliment going on their Christmas breaks on Thursday. Refusing to listen to teacher, parents and children, I have to work in school until next Wednesday!

Up at a reasonable time this morning and did Chloe Ting's 21 day fit thingy - day #4. I don't think I quite did all of it, but it was certainly enough! Then went to Sainz as we had completely run out of gf bread - yikes. I was lucky that I was early enough (though it was 8.30 by now) to miss the expected busyness - phew.Dd is doing some online dance classes so that is squawking away in the background. The noise is so grating, I'll be very pleased when it is over! And I have paid up for next 1/2 term's dance classes and cancelled a couple of DDs. One that I hadn't realised was going to be taken (d'oh - a magazine one) and the other for dd's swim lessons that she has finally decided to give up. She still has a month's notice and because they are closed for 2 weeks now, that'll see her to the end of Jan.And the rain is relentless and miserable, so I'm glad to be inside.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2
