Thanks Hbbb. Just the act of writing it down helped me clear some of it out of my system. Dh is on get-dd-to-sleep duty tonight, which is nice for me.

I know the footie's on, but I just aint bovvered by it all. Rugby - yes. The Tour - yes, yes, yes! Tennis - usually. Heck, even snooker gets a yes!

So, am footloose and fancy free. Don't want to watch tv, so will need to do something quiet - pesky open plan house ! Maybe a little stitching on of bells and ribbons... Quiet and adds another line or two to the tally...

Well, I wonder how mcu I'll actually get done...?

Already got roller + brush as they were under the stairs.

Sch run gets me home at 9ish, friend is coming at 10ish. In that hour, I'd like to make seriously chocolatey biscuits for us to have with our coffees, do Jiggle free plus tabata, masking tape up the necessary bits in dd's room and hall. We'll see how I get on!

School run done this morning; friend been and gone - coffee and hm biscs consumed; bits masking taped; wall 3/4 painted as friend only left at 12.30 and painty thingy came apart after 25 mins (tis rather old and well used, and now resides in painty thingy heaven).

Got all items done for 10ish.

Now I need to go up into the loft and get another painty thingy, then do the rest of the wall, as it needs to have finished emitting fumes by dd's sleep time.

However, there's both triathlon AND Tour on telly, and no telly in dd's room - what to do?!!?

Just need to copy it, post it, and find the 'expenses' form for postage costs...

Another painty thingy was located and more painting accomplished in dd's room and the hall.

And we have someone interested in buying dd's bed :j. They want to come and see it up, so we may not have time to dismantle her old one before we go away. Which means the new one won't get put up. Which means the painting won't get finished. At least the sky won't fall on our heads...

5 more sleeps til we go on our adventure .

Tuesday morning and it has been raining, and seems set to be a drizzly day. Ho hum.

Today's plan of action :
- school runs
- food shop (aldee + sains)
- drop off library book
- post claim
- print out and fill in expenses form
- log on to tps site
- 2nd coat of paint on all I've done so far in dd's room
- another coat in hall
- bit more crafting - and plan what to take away with me
- I'd like to drop off a bag at the Sally Army, but it's 4 miles and 3 buses away (too heavy to walk any of the bus legs, although I could walk some of the way back...)

No Tour today as it's a rest day, although there is stil a highlights programme this evening, which I'll watch if I can.

Not a drizzly day at all now - lovely sunshine but clouds too, to take the edge off the heat.

Went and did local shops and library - decided not to go to sains, as the 3 things on the list were all for dd, and we go away on sat, so they can wait til we return.

Aldee was supposed to be a small shop but came to £33. £14 was on fairtrade roses for 3 of dd's teachers and lovely neighbour... Nevertheless!

After a 30 min sit down, during which big sis rang (wonderful surprise to get a proper daytime call and not someone wanting to sell me stuff!) about popping up to visit us when we are on hols, I cracked on with the painting. The second painty thingy has joined the first painty thingy in painty thingy heaven. I reckon the bobbly paper was their undoing. But I did get a second coat on all the bits in dd's room AND the hall. And went up to the loft yet again to bring down 2 more painty thingies and 2 rollers.

Next was the trip to the Sally Army. It was such a heavy bag I was struggling to carry it! The first bus was the longest walk, but the other 2 were a short hop and a skip. I'm being so stingy in the ch shops now, as I NEED nothing, so only look for things for dd and on the 'reduced' rail. I'm even getting picky about which ones I'll buy from! I picked up 2 items of clothing for crafting - one for birdies and one for hearts, a cossie for dd and a crafting book for big sis. I used my credit so only paid 48p. And the lovely lady credited me with a stamper for spending over £5 even though I used my credit. .

So I decided to walk some of the way home and ended up walking the whole way! Steps are up to 15,500 snd my feet are in shock! Maybe I can make the effort to get to 20,000 today!

Ok, those steps won't appear by magic and I have 50 mins till the school run. Must go back to my list...

Dd's bed will be delivered tomorow. Between 6am and noon! So, a staying at home day...

- clear hall so new bed fits in
- do postage expenses
- do tps stuff
- do dd's paperwork for summer club
- wrap up flowers so they'll survive the day and take on school run x3
- put dry clothes away
- paint round the top of dd's room
- paint hall ceiling
- tidy dining table
- jiggle free + tabata
- call cottage owner
- viewing of dd's bed
- synchronise various lists on scraps of paper for adventures away
- craft - ooh 10 items or so

Dh is on dd duty - let's hope she goes to sleep before 9.45 tonight...

Bed is here :j. Surprising compact packages...

Pesky tps is being pesky - I need dh's help with it. Grrrr.

Top of dd's walls have had a first coat and duly done their best to wreck another painty thingy. Couldn't face the ceilings.

Crafting has resulted in another 9 items :T.

I 'may' try to clear some table. In fact, i've just realised that I 'must' as pension man comes tomorrow! So I'm now off to have a good hard look at said table...
