Stop working!
I'm stealing the word "glutenised", I really like that! I accidentally did it to my nephew, the night before his wedding. I offered him a chip from my plate, as it was a big portion, and he took one. But the "vinegar" wasn't proper vinegar, it was wheat-based. He got pins and needles at the first bite, and luckily that was the worst of it .... hugs to you and your DD.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Yikes! to poisoning your nephew, karma! I did stop working because dh found an old steamer and set to steam, scrape and strip all by himself. So I just collected up the rubbish in a binbag every so often.
Dd is indeed home, greent, and has just gone to bed. She is tired but buzzing about all the things she did, and the other girls. She should sleep soundly... She got more sleep, ate more and generally enjoyed it much more than the y6 trip...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Happy 18th anniversary to us :T.
Dh was out of the house by 7.15 to go help with the joint church meeting set-up and back at 2.30. Dd and I also went, but for the normal time, and we both helped with kids klub. Dh was going to be packing up, so he told us to go without him and he got the buses, which is why he was out for so long.
Dd struggled with the approx 60 kids and ensuing noise and chaos level, so we left pretty pronto. She is still rather worn out from the week away.
But dh is 'cooking tea' - ready-meal curry and hm chips :rotfl:. He knows how to treat me well!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Ooph. A good day has been had at work. The supply guy is still awesome and just gets on with it. None of the pupils have mentioned him to me, so I guess that means it's all good :rotfl:.
Dd is still rather delicate. We need to get on top of the empty-your-bag-and-what's-today's-hwk stuff. It's not helped by a couple of the whizz bang tech things not working. So I'm v grateful for wh@tsapp and the parents group.
Tomorrow I get to go and see my counsellor, after about 2 months 'off'. I'm quite looking forward to it.
Tomorrow is also my first time of waving dd off at the door.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
A new routine at a new school, when she's had that very intense week away, must be such a big deal for DD - I'm sure she'll settle soon. Enjoy your counselling meeting today2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Counselling was great!
Didn't see dd off at the door; went up to sch with her! An had a lovly walk back home.
Have bought some food for neighbour. She kicked out her OH at th start of the summer hols, but he keeps appearing in the house (won't return his door key; she has no money to change locks ) and then eating from the cupboards. So I have bought her some staples that can't just be eaten; they have to be prepared/cooked. And some frozen things. And some nice cupcakes as it's her bday tomorrow.
Zwow #13 got done first thing, steps are up to 11,000 so far, and I'll swim with dd later.
Off to check my list for today...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
