is there anything going on in her life that is causing that?Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
There is, Watty, there is! I need to be available to listen to her. She often doesn't want advice, just to be heard.
She did 'improve' during the morning and we sat together doing some of the myriad of hwk she has been given. We agreed that we'll do it like this for a while - we sit together and I do the online searching for her. She told me that she was feeling better.
And now she is still feeling better, having had a good dance session where they did show dances instead of exam dances. We talked on the way there and I pointed out that her 'moments' don't last, which she acknowledged. But we agreed that it's hard to realise that when you're in the middle of it.
So, enough sleep, enough food, less screen time and fun things. Daily.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I'm so glad she's got you to talk to properly
She's at a big stepping up point in her life, processing it all is going to take a bit of time. Your thoughts on this sound exactly what's needed - and I love the idea of your doing the searching online, she's still the one who's got to do the actual hwk, well done you.

Dd has had a much better day today.
She slept well, which is a good start. I was on kids klub so she came to help set up and stayed for the first bit then went to youth. Which she enjoyed very much.
This afternoon saw her doing 3 more pieces of hwk, so we are on top of that until tomorrow, when she may get 4 more... We are still sitting together to do it, with me doing any online searching stuff that she needs, then she reads and comments as required.
Managed to watch a lot of the rugby. Dd's comment was, 'They're beefy!!' She's so right... And I did zwow #16.
And now it is time for us to head upstairs and unwind for the night. Although I must admit that I'm a bit loathe to drag dd away form playing with her sylvanians...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Dd has had a goodish day. Phew. And we are keeping on top of the hwk. Phew. Only a bit was set today. Phew.
We have decided to postpone our trip to Oz by a year, as dh's ex + her hubby are going next year so it could all get a bit too cosy! All fine and dandy. Dh let the 2 kids out there know and from one of the replies, it would seem that ex gave them to think that both sets of parents going over at the same time being a not-so-good idea was all her brainwave. Sigh. Not sure why it bothers me, but it does. Prob because it was my idea :rotfl:.
I've had a good day at work and came home with enough energy to do zwow #16. Though if anyone watches the video, I actually look nothing like she does. I mean, those wall walks are hysterical! Once I got my feet up on the wall, no way could I move my hands!! Let's just assume that I aspire to be that fit and flexible and strong...
Tomorrow is my hernia(s) scan, to see how many and how big it is/they are. The dr mentioned an umbilical one, but I reckon it's just my 'outie' belly button. Anyhow, I have to not eat or drink for 6 hours before the appointment and the appt is at 11.30. I'm happy to not eat in the morning, but I'll still be having my coffee shortly after 6! Oh, and I'm not supposed to pee for 4 hours before the appt :rotfl:. I don't think that's so relevant as my hernia is at the top of my belly, not in the usual lower belly area. But I'll do my best....NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Good luck with the hernia appointment! That sounds rough. Coffee ......2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Not quite 6 hours beforehand, but I have downed nearly a pint of water and am just finishing off my coffee. Then it's a case of fill the time until I go... Wet weather isn't helping my cunning plans...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

You can do it, apple! Keep going, don't think about it!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Ha ha Karma - it actually wasn't very hard at all. I've done it before, several times. It was the not drinking that was the toughest. But it was really only for a short time.
Anyhow, all done and dusted. 2 hernias. And a good soaking being out in the rain.
Zwow #18 done. The instructions said 5 rounds. I set the timer for 15 mins and didn't even make it to the end of 2 rounds!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Dd slept in with me last night. Swimming on 2 consecutive days is too much! Hope she has a quieter day today.
That meant dh slept on the exercise mats in the spare room, as we no longer have the futon. Bet he'll be v stiff today...
Another soggy day ahead. Up amd at 'em.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
