I am nicely ensconsed in my room, with Jessica Fletcher on the box in HD. It is truly amazing to see such old episodes in such clarity - probably much clearer that it ever was originally!
I have done my zwow workout. #28. Just 10 mins. Twas enough.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Left the hotel at 7.47am; rang my doorbell at 12.52. A long journey. Dd opted out of dance and later on we did a trawl around the ch shops. Took 2 bags to the sally army and spent a fair bit (or so it felt!) overall. Books (dd), dvds (dh), clothes (dd, mum, me).NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Just realised that today's speared frog was the 2 bags to the ch shop. They'd been sitting there for quite a while...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Another good day.
The sunrise and sky were just glorious as I left the house in the morning.
Work went well - got the necessary done, plus some extra. Helped out a couple of people.
Did some exercise once home - I usually skip it on a Mon but I'm also working tomorrow, my usual 'hit the exercise hard' day, so needed to do something. 100 squats of varying sorts with/out the sandbag; 100 lunges as per the squats; 100 side lunge jump. 13m48.
Dh has cleared away so much gubbins, so that the window men have a chance of actually getting to the windows tomorrow. I'm looking forward to ones that aren't draughty or full of condensation in the middle. The house hasn't felt this big since we moved in 15+ years ago!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
The windowmen have done the whole front of the house in 1 day! A few finishing touches and the front door left for tomorrow.
I did an extra day's work, which went well. More again tomorrow afternoon. I'll be glad to get back to my normal hours at some point...
Rushed home and was in time to take dd to swimming. I only did 20 lengths but then was able to shower in the lull between kids getting ready for a class and kids getting changed back, and take my time before hauling dd out of the water.
I'm v grateful to dh who put the curtains back up, so we have some privacy! Once back from swimming, it was feed dd, feed us whilst helping dd with hwk, finish the pesky hwk, get dd upstairs to read for a litle bit and then in to bed. I'd only now be putting the curtains up if it had been allocated to me to do! But now, I can stop and read my book. Sitting in bed, under the duvet, with my microwaved polar bear. Yay!
8 more days until half term...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Somehow the measuring man measure the door wrong. By 70 mm! That'd be one draughty door! So theyll sort it out and let us know.
I have done another full day. It has been good in many ways.
I have done a workout - zwow #26 and then some kb swings and snatches.
Having requested our pennies back as the dance exams weren't happening (and hearing nowt back), we have now been given a date! And a back-up date???!!?? And told that if our child needs extra tuition, that'll be available during the half term. (Prob at a cost...). Fingers crossed that dd remembers the dances... And it's just as well we have nothing planned for half term, isn't it... Sigh.
A shorter day at work tomorrow - yay! I may well go to the gym afterwards, and drop in to liddle. Then on Friday I can take dd to school and go to aldeee and get things for the foodbank. I have neglected this of late and want to get back in the habit.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Yay! Just a 2/3 day at work. It was a wear-something-bright and give £1 day, and it was great to see the kids in their own clothes. And especially that so many of them were wearing something bright. I eased back on the pace of my lessons today and we all had a jolly nice time.
I didn't go to liddle. I just wanted to get home after work. So I did my workout at home. 15 mins, 12 + 8k KBs, 3 rounds, lots of sweat.
Dd has a nasty blister on her thumb, from the strumming at ukulele club! In general though, she is coping much better with school and the days and homework. Still v tired, but less exhausted!
Tomorrow I hope to take dd to school, do a foodbank shop, do a sainz shop, come home and needlefelt whilst I watch the rugby. Dh has some work, so will be out 6.30-1.30. Blissful empty house!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I spent just over 20 in aldee and got 26 items for the foodbank - got tins of meat and things that can be cooked if you ony have a kettle and a pan. I then spent just over 21 in sainz, purely on df/gf items for dd, and got 7 items. Ridiculous...
I did zwow #27 which was h a r d work. And saw the rugby. And did 2 loads of washing. And read a book. And finished various needlefelted items off. Now to look at what I have for this year's 2 fairs, and start filing the gaps.
Tomorrow's plans include-
-drop dd at sch for open morning
-do an adee and icyland shop for us
-meet dd at end of open morning and get bus home together
-take dd amost immediately out to dance
-wait around for 90 mins (sometimes there is a waiting room for us; sometimes not; last time I sat outside, but the forecast is a tad grim this time)
-get dd to do some pesky hwk she's avoidingNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Oh the homework battle. My two aren't keen on this either so no idea how dd will adjust to high school homework next year.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

The difference between her primary sch and her secondary school is so massive I can't begin to describe it! We are only now just about on top of the hwk situation. We were told it'd all be online, so we could see it. So dd doesn't always write it down in her planner. But it isn't all on line and dd then forgets exactly what the teacher asked them to do! We ignored hwk yesterday as dd has done her sch open morning then had a quick lunch and gone out to dance. We had tears on the way to dance, but afterwards, she realised that she'd enjoyed it. Phew.
I've sent dd and dh off to ch today. I'm not right - bit achey, tired eyes, sore throat, can't settle to anything for long, get warm then get cold...
The sofa is calling, with blankets, a polar bear and the rugby...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
