I disposed of the most mahoosive spider from dd's room last night. Dh wouldn't even contemplate going to deal with it. It was bigger than the top of a half-pint glass, and I managed to chop off 2 of its legs when I caught it. Oops.

    Twas a big beastie!

Had a swim with dd and big sis. Also did 5 mins with my 8K KB.

Niece has left to meet up with boyf; big sis has gone out to visit friends. They only arrived 24 hours ago, but I NEED MY SPACE! So I'm glad to have it.

I have done the extra work - complete with glitch - that I was sent, so can get that posted off tomorrow.

Have played some more with needle felting. It is addictive, all that stabbing!

Spent money today in liddle - and paid for big sis' swim. I do prefer to start the month with an NSD. Somehow it sets the tone right for the month ahead... Oh well :D

I love what I've seen of felting, but the repetitiveness of that stabby action would kill my shoulder. Very sad!

It's more a wrist action, I think. But equal potential for an RSI-type of injury. I have seen gizmos that contain about 5 or 6 needles so take less work, and may investigate them if I continue to lurve the process. In the meantime, I must be very careful myself not to strain fingers/hands/wrists.

Big sis, dd and I went to some ch shops and took 2 bags tothe sally army. We found some jama trousers for me, trousers and a top for mum, a tee shirt for dd, a hufflepuff tin for dd, a hogwarts leather-style bound book with plain pages for dd; and dd acquired some books and bought a thomas train for her nephew.

We have done no packing at all. I think that having visitors (niece left on thurs, BIL arrived this afternoon, sis here all the time) has used up all my head space! I have written a list and got a little pile started but we'll be sorting it out once sis + bil have left tom morning.

We're off to Buxton, which hasn't been flooded, although the railway line to there is cut off. So I'm v glad we're taking the car. And it's far enough away from Whaley Bridge to - hopefully - not be affected by the dam. It's due to rain/drizzle most of the week - sigh - so we'll need plenty of clothes, things to do, and good humour...

    Thank you and thank you!
We have arrived and got ourselves all connected to the internet. Happy families!

Dh has already managed to trip the lights circuit. He has also managed to locate the very-well-hidden fuse box, and sort it out. Phew.

Gosh but I didn't sleep well. A noisy bed, noisy mattress, noisy duvet cover, fidgetty dh...

Anyhow, once I'd got up, I did my warm up and workout and made a coffee and felt rather better. We wandered into town to check out the craft fair and the pool times and show dh the playground we found yesterday.

We bought dd a necklace but I didn't find anything I fancied. We found an open ch shop and got 4 books for £1. Bargain!

Got back an cracked on with some needle felting (or should I call it 'finger stabbing'...?). Then dd discovered that she'd dropped one of her syl fam figures while out. Uh oh... We went out to have a look for it...and found a cracked head on the pavement  So we reckon it was run over. But we couldn't find the rest of the body...
