So we went to the ch shop and got 8 books between us. So cheap!

Then once back and I started on tea, I discovered what had been producing a whiff every time anyone opened the fridge door - the chicken had gone off. Yuk. So out I went again to buy a sm takeaway. I am so near to 20k steps that I shall ensure I cover them before retiring for the night.

Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

We were in our jamas until lunchtime :D. Then dd and I swam and met up with dh for cake + coffee after. Boy has it reinforced why we don't go and do that v often! It sat v heavy in our tummies. And cost far too much for our liking...

We have done no packing and yet we want to be out by 9. Optimistic? Just a tad... :rotfl:

We'll just have to set an alarm and see how it all goes...

    And we are home :j:j:j.

We were out by 8.58, and very proud of ourselves... Then it took about 5 and a half hours... though that included 2 stops, one of which was for more than an hour. We were surprised by the M25, in a good way, for once.

As soon as the car was emptied, dd went to call on her friends and I went to pick rasps. So many! So huge!

Wash #1 is on. Dd is on her tablet. I've found some rugby on the box and dh is pottering. All is well :D.
