That's a wise decision, I'm sure - you sound like you're doing so well with the exercising, it's brilliant. I bet all your stats are getting into the top range.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

The exercising is indeed going well, karma. And I love it. However I still overeat and I don't think my overly chubby body composition has changed much.... sigh.
We went out and about in Ryde this morning, visiting all the ch shops (dd needs reading material...) and £land for a bucket and spade. Then home for lunch and back to the beach front afterwards, where dd had a whale of a time on the trampolines and bouncy slide. We wandered along the beach and stopped to do some shell hunting and paddling. Followed by more walking to the folly and a playground, an ice cream/lolly, and footpaths back home through Appley Park. I have done nearly 20,000 steps today. Ooph.
Tomorrow we are catching the bus to go visit step dd1 + gs and prob eat at their local pub. So I want to workout before we go. And we may just return to the beach when we get back here. But wearing cossies...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Ooh but I slept so much better last night. Tho woke at 5.51... and got up around 6.20. I somehow put my exercise kit all on the right way round and meandered down to the beach.
It was a toughie: 10 prisoner get-ups; 20 sumo squat jumps; 30 side lunge jump with touchdown; 40 skaters; 60x (10 high knees + squat thrust); 70 squat jumps. Took me 18m53.
There were a number of people running along the sea front. I don't get why they don't run along the sand, as it would be a better workout in my opinion... And if you run along and back, then you get to run wonky on a slope both ways, so both legs have a turn...
Another hour of chilling then off to visit the rellies.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Well, visiting the rellies took all day! I'm v proud of dd spending the day with a duracell-battery-fuelled, noisy nephew. And of dh spending the day with his ex-wife. We treated them to lunch at the marina eatery place (yep, they live at a marina!). And they invited us to stay for a BBQ so us g-mums went to sainz to buy the food (and gf/df for me/dd) and we all had a jolly good time. Ex-wife brought us home, which was lovely.
So that is today's adventurising. And we were all glad to get back to our quiet accommodation and have hardly exchanged a word in the last hour!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Well done to all of you on being an agreeable blended family, it's not everyone can manage that. Lovely.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

In awe of you managing the blended family thing so well.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
Aw, thanks guys:D. They were well split and divorced by the time I appeared on the scene. And they both worked v hard to be courteous in front of the kids. They're both re-married and happy now, so it all ended well

No morning workout today, just some yoga-ish stretches. We popped in to town to get dd some books from the w0rks, then met my cousin for a walk and lunch. She came back to the flat and when she left, we went to the beach.
Dd and I both swam in the sea :T:T:T

We got to spend more time with my cousin, which was great. Did loads of walking. Spent time with step dd + gs on the beach and 3 adults was just about enough to look after the little tornado. Dd and I swam in the sea again- go us!
And this morning we set alarms and got up, packed, out and home for about 1.30. All v pleased to be home. Already picked a load of big ripe rasps and put the wash machine to good use and dh has gone to get some food.
It was a wonderful time away together, seeing family, pottering around and getting to the beach. My cousin has offered us the use of her house or her bloke's house when they go away. One has cats, the other dogs so it'd mean a pack of antihistamines. But sooo worth it for time on the Island.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Such a solid night's sleep! Through until 7.30.
ZCUT cardio #3 done, a 10min AMRAP, and 2 rounds done.
Washing is on.
We have opted out of going to the ch picnic after the service. Partly due to the forecast sun + heat; partly due to none of dd's particular friends going.
So this afternoon I need to tackle work emails and make a plan for my last 3 days of freedom... I want to get all my prep done before thurs, so that I can enjoy the weekend...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
A day of keeping-away-from-the-heat has been had. Not much done, lots of screen time though. Oops. But dd and I have mooched along together very nicely, thank you.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
