Apple muncher's number crunching

She seems to have enjoyed her day. Her polo shirt and memory book are both written in/on. Almost her first question when she got home was when the new sch uniform would arrive. It arrived a few days ago, but we'd popped it upstairs, so as not to detract from the end of term. So she went and got the box and had a fun trying-on session, along with photos to send to family. She is now sat with her phone reading and sending messages, and seems perfectly happy.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Another night spent in bed with dd as she was coughing so much. At least this time we did it from the go and didn't wait until the middle of the night...
I managed to stay in bed until all of 7.30. Got headspace done before anyone else stirred - my priority for the day.
Dd is still very delicate, so getting her to the point of making a decision about going/not going to dance was a challenge. Anyhow, she did make a decision - to go - and also to carry on in Sept.
B'currants on the turn and mangy apples now stewing on the hob. Yumminess.
Dh cleaned the paddling pool today, so that is a job to tick off my list.:D Hopefully the weather will do as forecast, and warm up so it can be used again...
I have written up a gazillion Zuzka Light 5-min workouts. Well, about 80 of them... They can easily be doubled or tripled up, but I just doubled this one. I'll try to do a workout every day of dd's holiday - the next 6 weeks then.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Hope dd feels better soon. Are all your workouts for the gym? Hope its still going well.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Dd is much much better. We had a full night's sleep, all in our own beds.
Earthie - the workouts are for me to do at home, as there's not really enough space in the gym to do kettlebell swings without taking out someone, or damaging a piece of cardio equipment... I'm thinking of the gym more as a pool, esp now that dd's broken up. (Tho officially that's not until Tues, but her sch was sensible and placed 2 inset days at the end but ensured staff had done enough twilight hours to cover them).
I have just done 2 of them (and I doubled one up yesterday to make 10 mins) and boy! do I feel them. Because they're only 5 mins, I can really push hard. They are mostly either bodyweight or kettlebell.
Tomorrow, dd wants to go swimming with me, so I plan to only do one 5-min w/o.
We have had a lovely call from MIL. She recently had a bad stroke and has had rehab to learn to stand, feed herself and talk again. So it was great to talk with her. Her stubbornness and pigheadedness have been useful - her words.
Today has had athletics, netball and cycling on the box. Spoiled, I am(Star Wars was also on...)
The back lawn has been mowed and some weeds removed from beds. I have filled a large binbag! Usually it'd go in the compost bin, but that's full, so it'll go to the tip tomorrow, as it's right near the pool.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

I am indeed having a lovely day, thank you! :j
Woke up naturally - about 6.30, so not too bad. Did my meditation, made a coffee, read a little. Got dh and dd up. Dh went off to do some work and dd and I headed to the pool.
After that we popped some garden waste to the tip and a bag to the Sally Army (where I spent all of 75p (and used £8 credit)) and we got dd some trousers, jeans and a gorgeous warmish jacket. We skipped in to several other ch shops and I found some walking trousers for me (that fit me NOW rather than needing me to adapt my body...). Did a quick liddle shop and came home for lunch.
A chilled out afternoon, dd has played out and I have done another 5 min w/o.
Mrs Neighbour came round with some jumpers/coats/jackets for dd and I to have if we wanted to. Yes please. And what we don't keep will go to the ch shop.
I have also had a good chat with big sis and emailed a cousin.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

I was up quite early, so got my 2x 5-min workouts done before anyone was up. I did them outside, which was very nice indeed. I'd like to do the same again tomorrow, but the overnight temp is only supposed to drop to 20 at 6am , so I'll definitely have a red face by the end. And a dr appt at 9.10, so it'll have to get done good and early if I'm not to panic him with my 'glowing complexion'.
Took dd to her swim class and boy! was the pool busy... So I only stayed for 20 mins. I have no prob with dodging the kids who are playing around and having fun whilst I go up and down; I'm a little more miffed by the grown-ups who insist on swimming up and down and thinking everyone else - me included - needs to move out of their way... Anyhow, my miffed-ness didn't last.
We adventurised out to a different library to return about 35 books. It was just 1 bus + a 10-min walk there, and the building was lovely. Oldish, chock full of books, the old-style stamping out of books (we insert them in a machine) and chatty friendly staff. We 'only' took out about 25 books between us, but then had to run for the bus! We took 3 buses home and then flopped.
The paddling pool is full, and the flying bugs have made the most of drowning in it...
Dh has made the eaves squirrel-proof, and fixed the bodged gutter end. Well done him.

A funny old night. Sooo hot, then a huge thunderstorm and downpour, and this morning, you'd not know that it had rained...
Did my 2x5min workouts - 1 with the 8k kb and the other a bodyweight one.
Then off to the dr. I do indeed have a hernia. About 5cm below my sternum. So he's referred me.
Then bacon, choc and ice cream buying, and home before my 1 hr limit was up.
The rest of the day pottered on . We booked accommodation on the IOW for when step dd1 is over in Aug. Yay! Then mrs neighbour came round in a right state, so I spent the next 2 hours with her. I'm fully expecting her to call round again tonight, although it's all quiet so far...
Tomorrow, due to be even hotter, is the day when dd and I have to travel 90mins each way to a hosp appt at 2.30pm, and stay for up to 2 hours... We are not looking forward to it...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
