Wow, thats a nice meal
Even as a longterm vegetarian, I get a bit wistful at the idea of roast lamb and ham - I first tasted them properly cooked only about a year before I turned veggie, they were a revelation :rotfl:

The gammon was totally melt-in-the-mouth yumminess!
And will be in tomorrow's sarnies!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I have thoroughly enjoyed the sunshine today. My sch fair didn't yield its usual good sales, just a few pounds. Tho dd made £6 and was v happy. But I got to sit in the sun and people watch!
Dh took dd to an activity afternoon at the scout centre near us, then came back to collect me and my stuff from sch, which was brill as I was planning to pack up and store it somewhere in sch ready to collect on Mon. So dh saved me a lot of hassle.
Then we joined dd for the bonfire part and got home all tired out.
Despite it being the weekend, my body was wide awake by 5.45. I'd had two breakfasts by 7.30, and had to wake the other two at 8! I hope that I sleep a little longer tonight...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Well, I 'slept in' until 6.30... Dh wonders why I don't come back to bed. He doesn't get that I need time to myself in the morning, and laying in bed trying not to disturb someone is just boring!
2 loads of washing dried today.
Several bags of stuff packed and ready to leave the house soon.
Some marking done, but it was like wading through treacle.
My knees are much better. Each one has a sore 'hot spot' and I still can't kneel, and the right one is still quite swollen. But the general mobility and up-and-down-stair-ness is almost normal.
Dd has a friend coming to play next Sun. This friend will also be going to the posh school. I bet this friend lives in a semi-tidy house...:rotfl:. So, my mission for the week is to clear and tidy my gubbins. Hence the 4 bags ready to leave the house - they're now in the downstairs loo so I can already feel the benefit.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Oh dear. Not much more clearing done... Tho marking was accomplished.
Had another window man round today- a more local chap - and the quote was half of the previous one. I think we'll be using them.
Did zcut kb#1 with the 12k kb for most of it. Took just over 15 mins. Have also walked about 11k steps, and been swimming while dd had her lesson. I did 30 lengths. Think my knee will protest tomorrow, but I'm bored of 'not being able to do as much as before' so am trying to ramp it up.
Bank account is looking good, as I've had so many nsds this month due to having so much to do. And also only having 2 counselling sessions. However, dd needs uniform... Nuff said.
Used the last 6 off 40 voucher in sainz. 3x loaf, 4x breadstick, 2x 200g choc, 2x pack of 4 cornetto, 2x pack of 3 big magnum, 2x pack of frozen chicken dipper, 1x pack of frozen chick nugget. Cost over £44 before the voucher. You really are over a barrel with food allergies...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Only taught 1 class today - my adorable y10s - as I had leave to go to dd's sports morning. It was decidedly nippy this morning, rather unexpected, so I changed into jeans instead of shorts.
Only got home for 12.15 and spent a couple of hours marking. Not much more to go now... I'd love to finish tomorrow...
I have hurty wrists. Possibly tension from awkward knitting and holding the needles too tightly. Or from how I hold my wrists when marking and manoeuvring the mousepad. Whatever the cause, they jolly well ache a lot.
Dd is sad. She is also tired, but her underlying emotion is a sad one. But at least she recognises it and talks about it. Today, she described it as being like hiccups: you think it's gone and then it surges up and takes over your body.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Poor little DD - thankfully she's got you to talk to and understand her, I'm sure that will see her through. How amazingly perceptive she is, to describe it in that way.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Had a lovely1/2 day at work on thurs, then took a friend out for lunch. Yummy food and great company.
Dd has had a good day today, learning 'citizenship skills'. She swapped numbers to be in a group with a friend, and then their team went and won, so she was well chuffed.
The end-less bit of guttering now has an end on it. Yay! Roll on some rain to test it...
Took a box of books and 2 bags to the ch shops. Also did a liddle shop - and according to dh 'there's rather a lot of green' there!
Found 2 pairs of trouser for dd in the ch shop (for free, as I used credit) to take on her sch journey.
Have had a very lazy day. Unable to do much - can't garden, knit or sew - so have slouched in front of the gogglebox. But, in some ways, it has been a lovely liberating day. No marking to do. Unable to be busy. Almost like being on holiday...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Today has been another chilled out day. We skipped church - again, oops. Dd didn't want to go, which is unusual and shows how tired she is. We inflated the paddling pool and got some water in it, ready for a playdate.
But the weather turned chillier and it was only 15 mins before hometime that the girls started to splash each other, resulting in lots of laughter, and 2 drowned rats!
I have had a good day for eating - much needed. Tomorrow I'm starting a 14 day plan I've done before. It also has workouts, which I'm looking forward to as my knees and thumb joints are improving.
So I got to the end of June.
