You have my sympathies! I'm on my knees quite a bit in the house at the moment, sweeping at the sides of furniture, and I'm carrying about an old piece of neoprene, from camping-mat days :) it makes a great kneeler.

I can't kneel! And have to be super careful not to favour the worse knee, as that will stop the not-so-bad knee from healing up! The worse knee can't bend to 90 degrees, it's that swollen up.

Finished 11/24 of the hitch. I'd love to complete it tomorrow... Dh is off to Dunsfold for the final airshow this weekend - he's a volunteer - and will have the car. So dd and I are on the buses for dance tomorrow and church on Sun - where I'm also on kids klub so need to get there super early. And I start my senior role of sorting other people out tomorrow too!

But it'll be less busy than last year when we had sdd1 + family over from canada and sdd2 from Oz... Or so I hope!

Weekend day 1 has gone well. Dh dropped us at sainz on his way to the airshow, so we spent our £41.80 quickly and caught the bus home. We made it to dance on time and I managed to bump into the friend there who is having a tough time and get caught up on her news. I had a chat with a homeless man and found out that he has a weekday place to sleep in his tent and a weekend place, plus a place to shower and change once a week and play chess. Marked a few of my hitchette - just 4 left. Then spent aaaaages phoning people about their performance. 5/7 done and 1/7 has also done the next level. I am all talked out, as each conversation took about 30 mins.

Dh is out for a meal. He seemed surprised when I said I couldn;t go, nothing to do with not wanting to go!

And tomorrow, he will drop us at church before going to the airshow, even though it's the wrong direction. He is lovely :D. And that'll save my knees a lot of walking.

Hope your knees are healing a little bit today, apple, that sounds really tough, and the amount you're fitting in sounds tough too.

It has been a lot to fit in this weekend, karma. But it has all been done. Phew. Wish I now had a day to recover!

We also made dh a father's day cake, which we all ate warm, with ice cream. Yum.

Ooph. I was glad to finish work today. Nothing bad happened, it was just hard to keep going with gammy knees.

Anyhow, somehow managed to empty a 'wardrobe' (cupboard) with a colleague's help, wiggle it out of its home, wiggle my new and bigger and nicer wardrobe into the freed-up space, slot in the 4 moveable shelves and put in the stuff removed from the other one.

Yes, it was a big effort, but I am so pleased to have it done. And the colleague's motivation for helping was that she could then have the old wardrobe. Win win.

Since getting home, I've done no marking whatsoever. Oops. And that was when I realised just how tired I am. So, a night off tonight, and I'll start on it tomorrow. Procrastination rocks!

V glad to only have 1 more half day at work. Not being able to move freely is tiring.

Did our 2nd liddle shop, using the £5 off vouchers, so in reality we got £8 off a £40 spend. Nice.

Took another bag to the sally army, so 3 so far this month.

I was much later home than anticipated, then had to meet dd from sch, then I'd forgotten that we were going to go to town to get her new trainers. MnS had sch shoes, crocs and nix; sp0rts d1rect had trainers. I'm now £75 lighter. And after all the walking, my knees are protesting...

However, my mile-ometer (odometer?) now reads 56789, so I'm well happy :D.

The paperwork I'd ordered on the 14th finally arrived yesterday, so I was able to copy stuff up on to it. The deadline is tomorrow, so I think the time taken for sending out of the papers was pretty poor. And it's just as well I realised I needed it then, and not a day or two later...

So tomorrow I can post all the gubbins off and be finished with it, hitches and all. And focus on the next stuff. Which is going quite well.

Tomorrow has a big list. Some are needing doing as they relate to Sat (school fair + scout activity with bonfire), out from 9-6ish. Or Sun when dd is off to a party so I need to make her a choc cake to take along. We got the present in the D1sney store: practically perfect in every way bath salts + Mary Poppins mug + gift wrap, sprinkles and a gift box = under £9. Bargainaceous.

So, fair prep, party prep and marking probably sums up 90% of the list!

Fair prep done - sewing up, signs ... - just food to prep.

Party prep - choc cakes waiting for dinner to finish cooking so they can go in.

Marking - have completed 8/10 questions and am rather astounded with my productivity.

Found a reduced gammon joint in the c00p, which has just ginished cooking in the sc. That'll go nicely with reduced toms on reduced gf sourdough bread, with hm mayo. :D
