That's an awful lot, apple! And I'm kind of horrified to read that you've done even a *rough* hour by hour plan for 8 whole days. Gulp ...

I have been mulling over this, karma. And then it came to me! I have always been in the education system, so am used to the day being governed by lessons/lectures/tutorials - everything with a finite start and a definite end. Things happen at a very fixed time and only at that time. So extending that to a full day wasn't hard.

Indeed, earthie! My hours always stop at 7pm when dd and I go upstairs for quiet time, time to unwind. It's screen-free time for dd, unless I have the tv on for cycling/tennis/rugby/athletics...!

Today I have seen my counsellor, and came away feeling better, as always. I had superb bus connections (helped with a little bit of running) and was home 35 mins after. That's unheard of!

I've done a workout. I needed a hands-free ish one, so did 100 jump squat, 100 side jump lunge, 100 sumo jump squat. With my 8k KB. Took me 14 mins. I've also been for a swim while dd had her lesson - 24 lengths.

The hitch still aint sorted. 4 days lost thus far...

But I have written the personal comment for 51/87 reports. Go me :D

Still no light at the end of the hitch tunnel...

ZCUT KB #5 done and dusted.

2 loads washed and mostly dried outside.

Got to see dd for a bit at a sporty event at her school.

Did another 25 personal comments, so 76/87 done.

Lesson planned to the end of term.

Posted big sis's bday present to arrive in time for her bday.

    A day of 3 halves.:D

First half- lots of jobs done at work, books covered, counted, stamped and numbered. Some display done. Letters written. Papers photocopied. Budget completed. Junior reports uploaded after taking a long time to sort out adding me to 5he system to be able to do it.

Second half - awful year group with the theatre company we had arranged for them. Very hard work.

Third half - did the 'fitness test' that I did 8 weeks ago and have improved the numbers a lot. However, just a couple of mins in, I started with a pounding headache over and round my left ear. I finished the workout but my heart was racing for a very long time. I then got dh to get me some ibu and I lay on the floor for a good while until feeling able to get a shower. Chatted with dd, with my eyes closed, and gradually felt a little better. Dh gave me a little chili for tea, with cheese on top, as it was all I wanted.

Anyhow, I'm now feeling much improved, though washed out.

Good news - hitch #1 - the big hitch - seems to have been sorted. Hitch #2 - the hitchette - is ongoing... So tomorrow, by 10am, I can get back to marking for a bit and finally start after 6 days of enforced not doing it.

I am so glad that I'd decided not to go to see mum. My head isn't right and I am grateful for ibuprofen and plenty of nice (decaf) coffee.

I went to a really useful meeting about dd's school journey which takes place next month, and had a good chat with the TA in charge of the food side of things. I am now confident that dd will be ok there and will be properly looked after. I am providing all of her food, and the TA rang the place to ask if there would be a discount as dd is not eating any of their food. They've given us 20%, nice.

I have managed some marking - about 14, which I'm more than happy with, given the state of my head. I also had to drive to work to pick up exam papers, and later on, collect dd from school, so my time was very eaten in to. But frankly, I couldn't have done many more, as after every 2, my head starts to tighten up and I need a break.

I have not spent any money yet in June. :D I have thought about getting some shopping, but it either wasn't urgent, or - like today - I simply couldn't face going out. Maybe tomorrow, as I could do with buying food for Monday's tea - to be eaten on the train - well in advance, as I'll not have time on Mon.

Hitchette #2 is also resolved. Phew. I have checked I can access material, but it is parked up until I finish hitch #1 and also get back from manchester.

I was lying in bed by 9pm again last night, but was less tired/worn out than the previous night, so didn't sleep well. I was either hot or cold or sweaty or shivery. I still got up at 6 to mark, dh took dd to dance later, and I managed a fair number. I'm skipping church tomorrow to attempt to finish the big hitch, but I'll count up the remains in the morning and decide if that is feasible.

I went up to the shops - but drove as walking or bussing it was beyond me - with dd and bought food for monday's tea to eat on the train. And a magazine :D. In aldee, dd found a harry p0tt3r rucksack and at the till they said it was £10, but then they reduced it to £5 as it was the last one. Dd was v happy!

I have been well and truly floored by my head, and am v grateful for being able to slow everything right down. I know that I am improving as I'm not having to re-read each paragraph in my book 2 or 3 times!

I shall try to stay up past 9pm...

I managed to stay up until 9.45. Go me, being a grown up. Then dh woke me at 6.15 thinking it was Monday and I'd overslept. For once, I'd turned my alarm off and had planned a lie-in! I did manage to doze off again and got up an hour later.

Dh and dd trotted off to church and I got my y10 papers all marked, which took a few hours. I also did some other marking today. Not nearly as much as I'd hoped, but I'm down to 21 for that centre, meaning that I've done 50 in 3 days with a squiffy head. I'll take that. 'Just' 45 in total to go... If only I'd had the lost days, then I'd have finished by today. But then other things probably wouldn't have got done...

Tomorrow is my manic Monday. Ugh. Then a 54-hour hiatus, then back to manicness, to finish my reports by Friday, and as much of the markingas poss. I can take none of the marking with me, as it is online and needs a v secure connection. So am looking forward to some enforced time off. Though, of course, I have plans as to how to fill my time, including going to see the place I spent my first 5 years of life, using the gym, reading. For once, I'm not taking any knitting with me...
